broughtonblue Posted 21 February 2011 Posted 21 February 2011 Just watching the west ham v burnley f.a cup tie on telly. Apparently burnley are showing the match at their stadium on giant screens as it's a long way to go on a Monday night. Pie n peas match, great way to bring in extra revenue I think. Your views
Wymsey Posted 21 February 2011 Posted 21 February 2011 They used to do beam back screens in the suites at the Walker's whilst we were in the Premiership. (limited games though) Used to enjoy watching the games with Walshy and have a bacon cob. I can't really imagine a giant screen at the Walker's though.
Matt Posted 21 February 2011 Posted 21 February 2011 We've done that in the past. Hardly groundbreaking.

Surely something more refined!
AmericanScott Posted 21 February 2011 Posted 21 February 2011 I remember during our cup run in 04/05 season they did a beamback for the Charlton game.
broughtonblue Posted 21 February 2011 Author Posted 21 February 2011 Just thinking it makes sense, I have to get up early for work so won't be making the long trip to Cardiff on a wet feb night, but would almost certainly pay a few quid to watch the game at the walkers with a couple of pints
Edmund Posted 21 February 2011 Posted 21 February 2011 They wouldn't be allowed to for contractual reasons. The Burnley - West Ham match is being shown because it's on ESPN and I'd hazard a guess that Burnley subscribe to the commercial ESPN package just as pubs do. That's why beambacks are always televised games such as play off finals/cup finals etc.
SystonFox Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 It'd still be good if we did it down the walkers for our televised games. Sometimes bars in the city centre would rather show Aston villa vs arsenal that's on espn than our game at 5.20 on ss1.
accessory Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 The only times we'd do it is if our away allocation sold out. I guess it may be a possibility for the Forest game..
