blueblood88 Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 IF we go up this season, would it be the biggest turnaround in our history?
surrifox Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 on a par with going from the top of the Premiership under Taylor to playing the likes of Grimsby within a season
davieG Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 Or finishing in the play-offs and then being bottom after 8 games the next season
JoeyB Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 Did place not get promoted after being bottom at christmas, under Ian Dowie? 9th December 2003 palace were 3rd bottom, and ended up in the prem the next season
Bugg Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 Did place not get promoted after being bottom at christmas, under Ian Dowie? In our history. Not any other teams.
JoeyB Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 In our history. Not any other teams. Oh yeah, sorry, misread the question whoops

Was a pretty amazing turnaround
Ric Flair Posted 22 February 2011 Posted 22 February 2011 We went on a 15 match unbeaten run in the 80's to get promoted on the last day of the season. Think it might have been 1984? I was about 1 or 2 at the time.

Yes i remember that season very well, it was actually 1982/83 season and i think we were trailing Fulham by a shed load of points going into the last 10/15 games then slowly caught up and overtook them, brilliant season with the likes of Larry May, Ian Wilson, Alan Smith, Gary Lineker and Gerry Daly on loan in our team (very early days of supporting City for me). We finished 3rd in the days before play-offs and went up automatically. this season if we managed it would surpass that though easily because of our poor start. Up the Foxes
