accessory Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 Player on bench not happy, shocker. Is anyone saying we aren't struggling at the moment? What people are saying is you can't take the last 5 games and take that as a measure of the whole season. Nor can you take the time since Sven took charge, as you did in the previous post..
accessory Posted 20 March 2011 Posted 20 March 2011 He has, actually. We've hit a poor run of form, which every team has during a season. Unfortunately, unlike last season, we don't have anything to fall back on. Except QPR..
Babylon Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 Nor can you take the time since Sven took charge, as you did in the previous post.. What? So you think you can't look at a whole season to judge a manager. But it's absolutely fine to slag him off after a fairly short run of bad form? And don't even say your only as good as your last game because that's nonsense. If it carries on to the end of the season then fine, obviously there is something more deep rooted. But form can change very quickly. We had most of this same moaning posted December time, the run of form that proceeded it made the people spouting it look pretty silly.
Babylon Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 Except QPR.. Really? If their form is so great why are we only 3 points behind them since Sven took over. According to you Sven is doing a shit job.
Babylon Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 Different scenario - Davies has been whinging for the past year about the lack of financial backing he's had from the Forest boardroom. What has that got to do with anything? Everyone knows he's spent a shit load of cash to assemble that team anyway.
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 So you're in the changing room before, after and at half time? Ah that explains how you know so much! Not personally, but there is so much 'opinion' on here, which is exactly what the forum is for, that I thought it would be a welcome change to get some facts too. I starred a thread a week or so ago about Zola & Di Matteo being spoked to by the Thai owners, that too was a fact which leads me to believe (only opinion now) that Sven is under pressure.
B52 Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 Except QPR.. Has their players had time to play together in a pre season or something like that? And Sven is still just three points behind according to Babylon..... Interesting. A team, hastly put together, receives an extremely unfair amount of shit. All the top teams have PL-players so it's no differense. Look at Cardiff with a player like Bellamy.... I think a lot of teams would have him instead of Yakubu so whats the hype??? I think a fair few got lost in translation of the optimistic feelings when Sven came along and saved us from Sousa. And now they feel betrayed as if Sven promised too much when he's tries to lift the players mentally. You lot are a lot like Nancy I think....
buzzy Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 well you have to take the rough with the smooth. on saturday i got slagged of by a member on this forum by the name of NOD-E for asking a question what has gone wrong.i said in the post that sven needs to look at himself as well as the players at halftime. so to all of the sven lovers out there when we were on a good run and we had not lost a league game in the new year and 1 point off the playoffs no one was moaning about sven. but as soon as we are having this bad spell the sven lovers dare not slag him off because he seems to be your god. 7 out of the 11 players that started on saturday are svens dropping vitor for bruma is unbelivable. so both sven and the players need to take a long hard look at themselves.sven his not the best manager we have had i can name 3 in the last 20 years but he is the biggest named manager we have had
muzzy1981 Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 Sven has done a good job so far and if we reach the play-offs then he will have done a great job. Personally I am pleased that we haven't signed to many permanent players, I would much rather Sven be given more time during the summer to make the right decisions. Coming into a season part way in, has required some rushed loan decisions, some have paid off, some haven't thats inevitable. I know people worry about continuity next season, but with players like Wellens, Gally, Abe, Bamba, King(?), Vassel, I think there is a core there to build around. Hopefully we maybe able to get Mee, Bruma or Naughton again next season.
Callabinho Posted 21 March 2011 Posted 21 March 2011 Sven has arguably saved us from relegation! Sousa wasn't playing Wellens and Gallagher at times. Sven has come in brought in players who have made a difference to the team and given us a shout at promotion! if we finish 10th i will be more than happy. In my opinion the only reason we are labouring at the moment if simply down to the fact Sven has not had a pre-season. these players have not had the chance to play together without pressure so that is difficult in itself. If sven was here from day one we would be at the top of the table because we would have had a pre-season. This international break could work wonders for us, allot of our players will be off on international duty, and many other teams players possibly wont be, this could benefit us I think and give us one last push, the way this league has been this year were not out of it until the math says so!
