lcfc matt Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 well well well yakubu goes and seals a hatrick so all the people that doubted him what do you have to say now.All players go through dry patches look at torres and rooney and eventually they hit form again.this could be one of the most important hatricks of his career this could be the hatrick to promotes us.ive always been a fan of this guy and im chuffed for him i realy hope he is here next season premier or championship.Just think if people had got behind him instead of doubting him maybe he would of scored alot more and alot sooner.im not trying to cause arguments i just dont agree with how people slate players for hitting a dry patch and whan they become good its yak this yak this and so on.So i realy hope he continues scoring for us and i hope hes here next season.

cc_star Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 I'm hoping for the front page of FT to be 100% threads about Yakubu before today is out

Are you for real? And just because he got a hat-trick today doesn't mean he wasn't lazy and useless in the previous 5 games or so. Credit where it's due but not where it's not.
Thracian Posted 2 April 2011 Posted 2 April 2011 Are you for real? And just because he got a hat-trick today doesn't mean he wasn't lazy and useless in the previous 5 games or so. Credit where it's due but not where it's not. Absolutely - and our run of indifferent form/points collecting continues. I've always acknowledged Yakubu's immense skill and ability to work a goal from unlikely situations. My criticism is that he fails to close defenders down making us inclined to drop off to win possession and he's so inconsistent in maintaining attacks and making selfless runs. I don't remember anyone saying he couldn't have good games.
phillthefox Posted 3 April 2011 Posted 3 April 2011 He may of got a hatrick but his first 2 were scrappy and his third took a heavy touch and a good keeper would have got it, and as others say his workrate isnt the best, but if he keeps scoring i will be happy..........,. FEED THE YAK AND HE WILL SCORE
