StanSP Posted 4 April 2011 Posted 4 April 2011 I didn't see that 'cause my stream was down then. Heard a rumour that HHH had Taker down too low when he Tombstoned him and hurt Taker's neck, and that originally HHH was going to grab the sledgehammer whilst in the Hell's Gate hold and get out of it, but Taker couldn't go on so they had to end it there. Ah right. I don't know how Undertaker had enough in him to hold the Hell's Gate for so long to make HHH tap out, especially after being clobbered with the chair about 3 or 4 times. And HHH actually had the sledgehammer in his hand while in Hell's Gate
Joeb.lcfc Posted 4 April 2011 Posted 4 April 2011 that tombstone was pretty sick taker landed badly if you wanna watch it the match is on now here ----------->P2P
Haydos Posted 4 April 2011 Posted 4 April 2011 I watched for a good couple of hours last night and although I've not been following it too religiously for a fair few years now it just doesn't seem to be what it used to (yeah I know). There seems to be a load more wrestlers than 7 or 8 years ago and far less personality. The matches have nothing on the old ones either, it just seems to be lacking over all. I've tried to give it a chance recently and i'm vaguely aware what's going on but a few weeks back I just ended up spending hours one evening watching amazing matches from when I was about 12 and it's still so much better now. Stand out for me was Triple H and Mick Foley's feud. This match and the hell in a cell that followed were class: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGasHD3Mfuw

The build up to that match was so good, still gives me goosebumps today when he's like 'I think you know the guy, his name, is CACTUS JACK' *cue beatdown* Ahhhhh the good old days.
ajthefox Posted 5 April 2011 Posted 5 April 2011 I don't get how anyone over the age of about 14/15 can watch it seriously. I used to watch it like it was religion. I had no end of wrestlers, a ring, that titon tron that played music off their feet and a couple other random things when I was too naive to realise what was really going on but I gave that up years back. If i'm bored at home and it's on, I'll watch for 10 minutes for a joke, but I just don't get the appeal. Sure it's dramatic but it's so contrived it's absurd. I remember seeing a clip a while back with my flatmates and we were in hyterics. Just found it as a matter of fact... Obviously I'm taking a slightly odd case, but seriously, how could this make a television show that has millions of viewers?? It has to be one of the most laughable and downright stupid things on television I have ever seen. That clip isn't actually the one I saw. The one I saw was a later episode, but my point stands.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 So it's Rock v Cena at next year's Wrestlemania. Cena will win because the 'new generation' always win. who is going wrestlemania revenge tour anyway? Im going saturday! miz v cena main event!

Yeh I know. Just like Rock v Hogan. Kinda hope Rock has another match before that and wins but I can't imagine that'll happen.
StanSP Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 Anyone see the news that Edge has had to retire on doctor's advice due to spine injury? Was quite surprised to be honest. Him and Christian were great together.
Libertine Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 Yeh, 'tis a shame. His match at WM was pretty poor, clearly nowhere near the standard he used to be. Loved the tag division in the late 90s/early 00s with E&C, Hardys, Dudleys, 2 Cool etc.
Libertine Posted 14 April 2011 Posted 14 April 2011 Jeff is an utter state nowadays. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lckr9OLR2Ow
