the_fosse Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Naughton is the one we need to bust a gut to sign. Cracking signing he'd be. Really hope Mee and Kamara stay on to, permanent or not they'd all be massive boosts for the squad if their playing here next term. Can't see Yakubu here though. This guy too? Dreaming!? http://sportales.com/sports/owen-coop-would-only-be-the-half-of-it-for-sven/
Stevosevic Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Mee, Naughton and Kamara. Sven will have a list of players he feel he can get on a permanent basis.
Legend_in_blue Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Vitor and Naughton will go. Unfortunately. That's how it is. Mee will stay. Kamara will stay. I'm surprised people think Yakubu is good enough for a Premiership team. I'm not convinced. I think he'll stay here albeit on reduced terms, otherwise he'll move abroad. PVA could spend another season on loan with us. I'd be happy with that.
C.M.R.F. Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Probably we can keep Vitor. He said in his website that he would rather leave and play at another team, than to be another year without playing. I read the interview to Record newspaper. http://www.miguelvitor.com/?p=1277〈=en

Guest Bilo Posted 15 April 2011 Posted 15 April 2011 Would love to see Naughton sign permanently, and if he feels settled and happy here, who knows? He may feel signing a contract at a club that looks as though it's going places and appreciates him is a better bet than signing for a relegation candidate Premiership team where he has no guarantee of a regular place. Yakubu has massive quality in spite of his indifferent form, but his wages are a concern. I'm sure we could get a more than adequate Championship striker for similar money, and still have change for the quality keeper we're crying out for. Kamara is one I'd take, no question. Pace, touch and an eye for goal are all vital attributes and he seems to have settled in well very quickly. PVA I'd snap up but no chance of that happening. Same thing with Vitor, quality defender but leave Benfica for Leicester? More chance of getting a gobble from the Pope. Mee is a quality defender but probably not quite ready for Man City's team. Maybe another loan, unless of course they don't want him getting too attached. Not convinced by Bruma, but like PVA, there's no chance of it being permanent so it's academic.

lcfc jack lcfc Posted 15 April 2011 Author Posted 15 April 2011 But the question is does anyone think sven will bring in more loans ?
Dames Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 I reckon we'll definately get Mee and quite cheap as well. The Chelsea lads are probably a no go as Abramovich wants Chelsea to become self sufficient. As for Vitor hasn't he been touted as a future Captain for Benfica? Even so he seems to be injured far to often the money could be better spent elsewhere. I'm hoping we'll try for Naughton but i reckon we'll lose out to a prem team, he's just performed too well to go unnoticed. We'll probably get Yak and Kamara because A) Everton are completely skint and would like him off the wage bill and B) I'm sure Kamaras out of contract at the end of the season and this loan is sort of a try before you buy thing. In short i reckon we'll get Mee, Yak and Kamara for definate and possibly Naughton if we are lucky. Wouldnt mind seeing Cunningham back here either.
Haydos Posted 16 April 2011 Posted 16 April 2011 On the topic of new players, just watching the Scottish cup (for some reason) Motherwell v St Johnstone and a lad called Jamie Murphy for Motherwell looks standout, only 21, pacey, good finished, right handy. Never come across him before. Jamie Murphy
lcfc jack lcfc Posted 16 April 2011 Author Posted 16 April 2011 Since he was 17 Yeah but I doubt Sven would look at a player like that
