Leicester Youth Retained + Released

Hey guys,

I do the stats for Leicester on FM and I was wondering if anyone was able to enlighten me as to the retained lists for the youth squads? The official site has naff all info on it and there is comparativly little info available. I've done a big new update on youth players for the new game but if any one is privvy to the info regarding the youth teams then that would be much appreciated..

Also, anything that anyone was/wasnt happy with regarding the Leicester aspect of the last game? (except Nathan Blake's stats! blame the Wolves guy for that!)

I think Gareth William's ratings need to be higher, even though he used to play awesome on it. And I know Mark De Vries is a crap donkey, but his stats are a joke.

Stephen Dawson has left the club. One of our academy players comes onto the site actually, i'm sure he'd be able to give you the best possible info.

Well done on the stats for Richard Stearman in the last game, spot on! Alan Sheehan is pushing for a first team place too so maybe tweak his potential. Also, James Wesolowski was hyped up as the next Harry Kewell a few years ago !!

, Williams is among the better midfielders in the first division on the game. I've toned Deep Freeze down big time as frankly he was way overrated. Only problem is that a lot of Scottish players in the game are very overrated when they come into the UK, hence they do well on FM but pretty shocking in real life!

The whole squad has had an overhaul i'm afraid, so a lot of stats are much lower this time round as we have to make the team fit into a specific bracket of abilities in terms of where they finished last season.. and as we finished pretty low, the whole squads abilities have had top go down as a result...

cheers for the compliments re:stearman.. i've made his current ability a bit higher this time round as he should now be pushing for a place in the first team, his potential ability is the same though. Sheehan is next in line behind him now in terms of youth prospects, with Weslowowski the pick of the youngsters pretty much.. Levi Porter has a decent rating too as he's an england youth international, however i've tuned Tommy Wright down a fair bit as he's been pretty unspectacular the last couple of seasons..

Not sure if you know but Sheehan is a left back, just kept coming up as a central midfielder for me. He also hits a nice free-kick

thankya kindly... his position was proabbly left blank as i wasnt sure where he played.. he's a left back now for sure.. and i've taken his free kick rating into account, think he's among the better rated at the club in the new stats

Love it if you kept posting on here mate because there are alot of FM fans and we would all like to be kept up to date with ongoings and we will help you with the city team so we can have a nice test for next season to keep us all occupied. See how ricey gets on with the new squad seeing as though he is a miracle worker on 2005.

EDIT : Just wondered if a lad called Nicholas Matthews will feature on the new game. He was released at the start of the season by Adams as Stearman got chose instead. He is my cousin and i would be interested to see whether he will feature. Since he was released hes been at Kings Lyn and dropped down to Oadby Town level. I hope he gets a club and i can sign him for the foxes hehe, many thanks.

I think it's fine that the ratings are being tuned a bit down. Williams is way too good in the game IMO, and Stewart should be much more inconsistent than he is in the game. Haven't actually played City with the newest update so wouldn't know how good Donkey, Maybs, Hughes or McCarthy are...The youth player on here that Mr Chainsaw mentions is Ashley Chambers... can't remember if he's in the game. He's been noticed and praised by Levein a couple of times already...

I didnt have Ashley on there before but i submitted him in my latest update, so he'll definatley be in the new version of the game, haven't really any info other than his name mind... anyone know if he has an msn address or anything that i would be able to get hold of him on? or ashley, if your out there would you mind me contacting you somewhere outside of the board to try and get a bit more detailed information regarding yourself and the rest of the youth squad?

EDIT: by the way i agree wholeheartedly on both the Williams and Stewart points, both have been rectified for the new game.

Also dude I suggest you make Paddy McCarthy a good overall prospect, he was pretty poor on the last version at Man City.

! i think i'd get shot if i did that... I agree he was too low though (his current ability was something like 80, but his potential about 135 (i think) but i've sorted that for the new game...)

Just wanted to say thanks to all who have offered their help and opinions on the game and stats, and for the extremly friendly welcome i've had... I'll try and keep coming on here to keep you all updated with what's going on behind the scenes if anybody is interested in hearing... and as well i'll keep coming back to mooch more info and opinions off you guys before i send in my updates!
