ik_sirius_uppsala Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 cheers lads you lot going over to sweden for the pre-season are welcome to the beautiful city of uppsala the ik sirius fans drinks at the alexander pub just a small walk from the stadium - welcome! we play in the third tier in sweden, which has a small summer break in july, therefore the friendly. at the moment we're second in the table, nine games into the season. the level of football i would guess is somewhere between BSP and Isthmian. hope to see a few of you there, i am a huge fan of (real, non PL) british football and i go over at least 6 times a year to support a certain championship side. i also look foward to give sven the fair amount of stick he deserves once again welcome to summery sweden /J
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Nah! Place sounds gorgeous mate but your beer is just too dear! Last round I bought in Sweden was about thirty quid for four of us! Women are tip top though to be fair...

Dan Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 I'll be in Sweden from July 17th-19th so sounds like I'll miss this one, however will see us take on Brescia, I think.
drc Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Hi J, I guess you live in Upssala just like me. Are you a Sirius fan ? well it is a daft question because of your nickname on the site, I meant more or less are you a regular at the Sirius games ?
drc Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 If ´someone really needed help to stay somewhere overnight between 12/13 I could maybe let you sleep in my sofa and extra bed if you're ready to leave quite early the thirteenth because I work then. What do you don't do for a Leicester fan ? Although you need to be kind of thirsty like me and my friends cause I don't want to spend time with boring non-drinkers.
DB11 Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Is that really how you write dates over in Sweden? Looks confusing
broughtonblue Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Bloody hell, free digs and free drinks, count me in. You swedes are a friendly bunch!!
BrummieFOX Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 This is a lovely thread. How would one sleep 'in' your sofa and also your extra bed? Would actually love to go, bad time for holiday at work though.

I mean't of course if it was like two friends having to crash somewhere. If a fit bird will come there are extra room in my bed also. So basically one augly drunk dude in my sofa, one ugly drunk dude in my extra bed and one fit horny bird in my bed.

CazLcfc Posted 27 June 2011 Posted 27 June 2011 We arrive in Uppsala on 10th July so looking forward to a few days there before heading off to Stockholm. Husband and I are travelling over for the tournament and fortunately the changes to the games don't affect us too much as we'd planned to be in Sweden for the whole week. We'll see you in the Alexander Pub !!! ....as long as we can find it !!!!!
Braymears Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 I'm a Leicester fan living in Uppsala, I literally can't believe Leicester are playing here . I think Flustret (a bar just down the road from the ground) usually have pre-game drinks and food before all the Sirius games. See you there! .. I'll be in my Leicester top : ) http://www.flustret.se/
Chairman of the Bored Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 Am I right in thinking that the oh-so wonderful band, Jenniferever come from Uppsala? I know I am. Saw them live in Berlin last year. The lead singer has got the skinniest legs on planet earth, but I love their music. Second only to Kent in my book. Also, I hate to admit this but I'm a Helsingborgs IF fan. "We are top of the league!" I haven't ventured to Uppsala yet, been as far as Stockholm, simply wonderful. The archipelago is quite incredible. Shame I can't come over for the tourney, but love your country.
Lillehamring Posted 5 July 2011 Posted 5 July 2011 So you're coming then? no, it's not going to happen for me, the novelty isn't so great as i can go to sweden any time, but this would involve time and money i don't have. but i will be at the two first home games - woo! oh, and sweden is awesome - have a great time anyone attending, fingers crossed for Göteborg next summer....
