Weller in Tights Posted 16 August 2011 Posted 16 August 2011 Fairly new to this forum, joined because I thought I might get the odd insight into what is going on down city, from a supporters perspective. Also thought I might get the chance to air my main concern about English football (I'll come to that in a bit). But my god you lot don't half whinge and moan. Oh yes some of you do it very eloquently, clearly some are an educated bunch, but what a whinge!!!!!!! Yes football isn't the same as it was....... SO WHAT?, things change get over it or do something about it!!!!!! Yes they (Our Owners) may dump us in the mire after a few seasons.... SO WHAT? if we have fun on the way, great. We have always had a rollercoaster ride as long as I can remember and I started going in 68. Yes Sven is in it for the money... DUHHHHHHH, SO WHAT? if he leads us to the promised land I'll kiss his ass. So the half time entertainment is Naff.... SO WHAT? go have a pie and a pint OR stand up and sing, make your own entertainment, I ignore the entertainment and talk to my mates about the game.. Come on stop being a 'big girl's blouse'. Don't get me wrong I like a good moan, I have often moaned to me mates about Howard's inability to move, but that is a football discussion. Anyway on to my concern. THE LACK OF ATMOSPHERE AT MOST CLUBS IN ENGLISH FOOTBALL, INCLUDING OUR OWN. If some of you whingers would get up and sing we might improve the whole atmosphere. I really envy the atmosphere at Bundersliga games, saw a Wolfsburg game on the TV, fantastic atmosphere, loads of singing and chanting. Ever seen Boca Juniors? They sing and chant all game even if losing. I would love more City fans to get involved. First of all though, get rid of the Drum. It kills the creativity we used to have. We used to chant and sing songs. Now its just chants that fit around the drum. Anyway thats my moan off my chest.

Maybe so, but what can we do about it, NOTHING, so like the original poster said, just enjoy the ride and for once, enjoy City having some money and being envied by other teams and their fans. Being a Leicester fan was, is, and always will be a rollercoaster. It looks like we may (hopefully) be heading for a high part of that coaster, so lets take it as it comes, and enjoy it. Lord knows what some people will be like when we hit a low point again, eeesh.
