Copying Cassette Tapes to Computer

While tidying up yesterday I found my old collection of Goon Show tapes & CD's - I've copied the CD's to my computer and want to do the same with the cassette tapes - Is there any sort of drive out there that would allow me to do that?

I have a load of lp's I'd like to put on cd, but as you stated once this has been done the expensive equipment becomes redundant

I'll bang this in this topic. But does anyone know if VHS to Computer works?

I've looked on eBay, they do have them, but how do they work?

If you have an old tape player, or record player its a piece of piss, you dont need to spend any money on those things, just a phono to 3.5mm jack plug adaptor is needed,and possibly a little pre-amp if you havent got an amplifier, but most people have these with a hi-fi

Sound is fed in through the soundcard

software is free also
