The Doctor Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Good performance, good win. Typical City, raise their game for a bigger opponent. But as The Special One says, Leagues are not won with one great result against the best team. Leagues are won when you scrap out a 1-0 on a tuesday night against the teams at the bottom. Brighton are big opponents? Sure they've started well, but they're a newly promoted team, back in the league for the first time in half a decade and they're bigger than the likes of Reading (play-off's in two of the last 3 seasons, and won the league at a canter the season Brighton went down, followed by a top 8 finish in Division 1). I'm not buying it.
PAULCFC Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 7 points from the last 9. Dominated Brighton. Sven out anyone? Never in doubt for me. That was a great performance, however, I think Poyet showed his inexperience. As a league leader you should surely look to take the game to your opposition. They came to us to get a point. Bad tactical decision. And what would your tactics be?

Bad tactical decision. I completely agree. Brighton looked like a blown up league one outfit to me and I reckon they will slip right back into mid table before long.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 18 September 2011 Posted 18 September 2011 Yes Sven out. Although your memory stretches back 3 games, mine stretches back for the past 10 years of watching Sven's managing ability. I am sure you would rather we lose matches, just to try and prove your view on Sven!
