sphericalfox Posted 16 October 2011 Posted 16 October 2011 I always thought after the first few games and the types of players we brought in that we weren;t going to be winning any awards for discipline. Maybe this was what was missing from last season. That bit of aggressive bite. Sven obviously has this in mind, thus the large numbers in the midfield, and cover at the back. It's just a a shame that some of our forwards/strikers have collected a few unnecessary cards. Just shows that we are getting stuck in. Something we were very reluctant to do last season due to the lack of quality as back up. I don't think we are necessarily a dirty team, and to be fair some of the refs have been atrocious and very card happy, but lets hope our numbers and depth can absorb the suspensions at the right time, and it doesn't affect us too badly in the long run, and our competitors lose their important players and we can capitalise on this in the table.

Some may think that it's only us in this league that gets shit refs. It's really not! Aren't Mills and Bamba both on 4 bookings before today?
