DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 I go to Oxford quite often, and you have every chance of being mown down by a student on a bicycle. It is a city of two wheeled maniacs, hell bent on seeing how many old ladies they can take out, in the fastest time possible.
Yojoe36 Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Bollox. Where's Loughborough. Epinal way is disgraceful when it comes to traffic

And as much chance of being taken out while on your bike by some **** in a car who doesn't bother to look when they pull out on cowley roundabout
New England Fox Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 cyclists are cvnts Actually, people in cars who think they can do whatever they want and think they own the road without actually realizing that cyclists have the exact same rights on the roads as cars do.....are cvnts.
Thracian Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 I go to Oxford quite often, and you have every chance of being mown down by a student on a bicycle. It is a city of two wheeled maniacs, hell bent on seeing how many old ladies they can take out, in the fastest time possible. Haha ... one of the poems in my recently published book was inspired by an Oxford cyclist. ===================== THE CYCLIST ====================== She rode her bike through the city street, In a dust mask to combat the smog, Slower than a motor car, Faster than a dog. She wore a fancy headguard, That could stand a mighty blow, Should she go slithering down the street, In a ball of sloshy snow. Goggles too blocked grime And insects from her eyes, And would keep her incognito, If she ever got work as a spy! And of course she had a smart disguise, In case her cover be blown, Sunglasses, clear and yellow and black, Skullcap – and a deep-furrowed frown! She was the contemporary cyclist She trailed no lethal fumes, As she peddled downtown to her office desk, Entertained by her latest I-Tunes, In her high visibility Slap Wrap, And bright yellow reflective vest, That served very well as an eyecatcher, As it clung very well to her chest. The cars were all stuck in a jam, And the fast lane for buses was blocked, But the cyclist undaunted, advantage she flaunted, And down through her gears quickly dropped, Giving reign to her onboard computer, As she weaved in and out through the queues, Wherever she went and whatever she did, Technology gave her the news. By making a note when she started, Of how far she’d gone down the road, And precisely the speed when she did the foul deed, And carelessly flattened a toad! Well the cyclist was all in a lather, And scraped up the toad from the road, The computer recorded its temperature, And worked out “additional load”, Then told of the speed she would need, To get the poor toad to a vet. And sorted the fastest clear route, And even offered the odds for a bet, As to whether the cyclist would get there, In time for the toad to survive, Then changed its on board prognosis, From “stable” to “barely alive”. Well just a week on, the cyclist was gone, To the shop where she purchased her bike, And oh what a pain as she passionately complained, That the extras they’d given her weren’t right, “How’s that,” said the staff, who knew of no gaff, So the cyclist unflinchingly said, What use are these wheels if, as part of the deal, They can’t raise a toad from the dead. Godzilla Gorilla Pimp Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Actually, people in cars who think they can do whatever they want and think they own the road without actually realizing that cyclists have the exact same rights on the roads as cars do.....are cvnts. didn't realise we were able to drive through red lights and had our own painted lanes. good to know.
New England Fox Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 didn't realise we were able to drive through red lights and had our own painted lanes. good to know. Ah I see so that means every cyclists does it right? I ride a lot and I always follow the laws of the highway, doesn't stop assholes in cars from turning across me and almost hitting me on a daily basis, or pulling out in front of me and again almost hitting me. That of course doesn't even take into consideration the people who drive by me and shout things like "get off the ****ing road" when they clearly dont understand that riding on the pavement is infact illegal. I have also had things throw at me from cars driving by for no apparent reason and one time someone even tried to spit at me as they went past too but I deserve it as I'm on a bike right? Ah but then there is the people who seem to think it's funny to roll down there window as they drive by and shout "BOO" as loud as they can that one never gets old. What is it trying to accomplish exactly? Am I supposed to fall under the wheels of your car? Maybe just fall off and break a bone or two? Oh yes that's hilarious!!! Yes there are some cyclists out there who are reckless on the road, but the fact is there are literally millions of ignorant drivers out there who think a cyclists only responsibility is to get out of there way.
wurmer Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Cyclists who insist on riding on the road when theres a cycle path a yard to their left and end up holding up traffic = cocks
davieG Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 The country is full of people with the attitude I'm alright Jack - fook you! They believe rules and regulations are for other people designed to make their lives easier as they flout them. Where ever you look you'll see them.
Guest Bilo Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Cyclists who ride in the middle of the road should be executed.
The Doctor Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Is it bad that I first read this as Britains Molested Cities?
