corbyfox1884 Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Was anybody else slightly taken aback by Sven's comment on BBC Radio Leic when he said that we were better in the 2nd half ? Did he not realise that we lost the 2nd half 0-1 against a team who are going to struggle to stay in the championship this season? We never looked like scoring as the final ball was always wasteful. Are we really any better than 2 years ago under Pearson when we spent next to nothing? I dint think so !!
Bugg Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 We were better in the second half, but that wasn't hard after the woeful first half.
Dan Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 I thought both were equally as bad to be honest. 90 minutes of failing to break down a poor side.
Corky Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 We looked a bit better with Dyer, but the second half didn't give me a lot of hope for the future if it was better.
Kitchandro Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 I actually thought we were decent 2nd half, at least we went for it. Hit the bar, created a few chances. If we'd have played like that in the whole game I think we'd have won. The big problem by then was we had no confidence and no natural goalscorer to get in the box. I think some players (especially the midfielders) gave up somewhat, but tbf Dyer terrorised their defence and Nugent created some openings as well. It was the first half that lost us the game, not the second. But that's just the problem, we don't get going until it's too late, too often. It was disgraceful attitude in the first half and, as at Birmingham, we deserved to lose because of that.

Fox92 Posted 23 October 2011 Posted 23 October 2011 Are we really any better than 2 years ago under Pearson when we spent next to nothing? I dint think so !! I agree, no we are not. Pearson had the team organised. The back four looked solid, and we played with width. I often went into games, even thougher games, confident, where as I don't seem to be at the minute. Sven doesn't seem to have the team organised and thats worrying. Millwall spent little money and are in the bottom regions of the table, yet they came to Leicester yesterday and looked as organised and as solid as any team I have seen this season.
