Guest Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 It's a results business ........simple as ! Their money......their call ! It's our football club. Without fans the Club is NOTHING! I'm pretty sure we'll be around supporting long after the "businessmen" have sold up and gone away. It's a sport not a business and the sooner some of these idiotic "new wave" owners realise that the better the sport will be.
Guest Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 If you can't see the difference between football and plumbing ....
stourbridgefox Posted 26 October 2011 Posted 26 October 2011 Hello, infrequent poster but some of the things said about Wellens have made me thing about others things I have heard about him. I had a chance encounter with an ex-Leicester City player on Saturday after the game. He said that in his opinion Wellens caused problems. He said that Wellens dominates the dressing room as he is such a big personality. He said this translates on the pitch to players not doing what they think is right but doing what they think Wellens wants them to do, in other words, pass to Wellens. Casting my mind back to last season, one of the apparent 'rebels' against Sousa was Wellens. The other players who didn't like Sousa have been moved on, such as Fryatt and Hobbs, but obviously Wellens is still here. I also remember Wellens arguing with Sousa on the pitch against Middlesboro when Sousa asked him to move to the left to cover the fullback. I thought this was concerning at the time. The last thing we want is turning on a player with little real evidence to go on but if a player has been upsetting the dressing room for a long period and hasn't been kicked out an his arse then the time is nigh!
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 30 October 2011 Author Posted 30 October 2011 ive not read any of this thread only the title.....do not piss the owners off...that really would be a silly move by the fans

I'll have to take your word for this.... It just strengthens my view on the importance of the next manager being an ass-kicker when he needs to be Lose the dressing room and it's game over... Which it would appear was the beginning of Svens undoing? This can't happen again whoever comes in.. The manager has to manage... My feeling is that there are too many 'billy big bollocks' at city presently. This is ok, as long as they know who the boss is
acooling08 Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 Having seen the BBC interviews with Top, I find myself liking him even more than I did previously.
seenitall Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 He's a kid playing with us like a toy - that's why no one good will come here to replace Sven - can you imagine O Neill having to sit with a virtual child who has overreacted to a middling (not poor) start - imagine how far he will throw his toys if we have a 3 defeats in a row run - if not this year, when and if we go up - and it is very likely in the Prem even with a mega team - imagine how Top would cope with QPR's results so far this season - 6-1 at home??? He'd probably have the manager killed
Babylon Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 This thread is funny, one little mention from Bert about losing the dressing room and suddenly it's Richie Wellens who is behind it all. Bert may be right, but unfortunately he's not been correct on anything for more than a year now, so how people can accept his version without question beggars belief. Some of the overreactions to our owners are also laughable, they have been mostly excellent since they have been here. If people believe they sacked Sven too early then that's your opinion, others believe he was here to long, some like the owners felt like the run of results and performances stretching back to last year just weren't good enough. I thought it was a few games to soon, but to start suggesting they are some kind of clueless child throwing their toys out is ridiculous, they have acted with a lot of grace since they have been here and done more than someone like MM ever did. He was in his 70's and was ten times worse than these guys. If anyone is throwing their dummies out it's those overreacting AGAIN on here.

AndyBrew Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 No not kidding at all. Do the maths and you will find our average gate receipts no where near covers even the wage bill yet alone money to by players and pay all the staff. The new owners are still losing money every week and will continue to do so until hope fully we get into the Prem. you are 100% correct, I've made the point on other threads, some people on here seem to think that Top has invested in LCFC out of the goodness of his heart, unbelievable naivety, the guys a business man, and their fortune is not in the same league as the owners of say Man City or Chelsea I still maintain they have a two year plan, 20-30 million pounds invested in LCFC over 2 years is a substantial chunk of their liquid assets they will not continue to do this without a return on their investment. The fans mean nothing today.
seenitall Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 What - Milan was worse? Spent no money (or no more than anyone else in the divs), got us promoted from League 1 and then to the play offs in consecutive seasons - is being in your 70's worse than being 25 in football? Don't think so - opposing view (as ever); Thais took over from Milan and fired Pearson (via Milan) got in Sousa, sacked him after a handful of games, got in Sven, threw NO money at it in the first transfer window - overreacted and threw loads at it in the second, panicked and fired Sven after Daddy Thai shouts at Top for losing at home to Millwall then can't get another manager because no one will come to be ordered around by a volatile man child It's just a view but it does have a ring of truth about it if you want to take the blinkers off

' Maybe I'm wrong but Clark is no more proven than Sousa was (less in fact) and O Neill has said no - if Hughes is coming, he's taking a long time to decide - happy to be proved wrong here but so far so bad........ I'm over Sven (with a tear in my eye) but reserve the right not to kiss the man child's arse, especially as he seems to have royally screwed up here - mark my words, he may care about us (as much as anyone whose Dad has wasted £25m on players and a club mired in Div 2) but he is truly clueless when it comes to running a football club
seenitall Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 No.......no truth whatsoever.........not even a ding !! Wait and see - the faith in a new messiah just because his Dad's got some money is alarming - so they didn't get Milan to fire Pearson then? Ding! They didn't fire Sousa? Ding! They didn't get a cobbled together loan team in last year then? Ding And they didn't chuck stupid money around in the summer - oh yes Ding! And they didn't panic after 13 games - Ding! again Clueless - you'll all agree soon
seenitall Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 No.......no truth whatsoever.........not even a ding !! Also, Milan didn't get us promoted and to the play offs - I am supporting the same team as you aren't I? Ding!

seenitall Posted 31 October 2011 Posted 31 October 2011 I reckon your Lost in France . I am chap - very concerned too - I've seen some proper rotters running our club over the years and I am sure these guys are not like that - but I don't think they know what they are doing - at 25, could you have gone over to Thailand and run a multimillion pound company that you had never worked in before in your (short) life? Chances are you would make mistakes if you did!

We all mistakes thats true ....but i completely disagree with the majority of what you infer .These are extremely successful guys with business acumen you obviously underestimate completely .As with all the other ever increasing other foreign football club owners ,it would be foolhardy to imagine for one minute that they don't receive proven reliable advice ! I think your attitude towards them stinks quite frankly & cannot understand this seemingly personal agenda you appear to have against them. May i suggest you take your vitriolic views and stick them up your jacksey !!
