Guest Col city fan Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 I'm not sure they're both "the" most disappointing - there's two or three others in the mix - but they're certainly close and quite on what basis SSL came out with a self-promotional interview at a time when our defence was so solid I can't imagine. Even when he did get another chance he hardly excelled and the very thought of his indifferent Leicester performances following the fact that his last club was relegated, is hardly confidence building either for him or for us. Some folk just cog into a club but I've a funny feeling SSL will be one of those that doesn't - wehther he's really any good or not. I agree with you Thrac

If you isolated the early chances that Mills had I wouldn't be going overboard about him, in fact I'm still not he seems to have costs us plenty of goals and points so far, not that i'm a big SSL fan but i've not seen enough of him and he's not had the chances that Mills has had to redeem himself.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 That's not what he said though is it. Erm look at the bit you have highlighted. What other deduction is someone supposed to come up with? flowwolf, on 10 November 2011 - 03:59 PM, said:If you have not played in the top flight by 26 it tells it's own story he simply is not good enough. From what i have seen of him play for us he is not going to get into a Pearson side. Yet another of Ericksons poor buys. Another gem of footballing analytical genius.
sphericalfox Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Erm look at the bit you have highlighted. What other deduction is someone supposed to come up with? The deduction says that the majority of teams that get promoted with players who haven't played in the Premiership before, prove this to be a ridiculous statement.

And how many of them stay on to become main stays in teams? I think you know full well what he meant anyway and are just trying to be akward. Still what ever makes you feel superior towards him...

But Mills was there during our best unbeaten run this season - a time when we strung together a series of games without conceding. Unfortunately for SSL he didn't get that opportunity but he only had himself to blame.
foxaholic Posted 10 November 2011 Posted 10 November 2011 Ian Wright only made it to the top flight at 26 by way of a Crystal Palace play off win I'm sure that told Arsenal he was not good enough when they signed him for a then club record fee when he was 28. Lets face it Eire area far better side than Leicester

I appreciate that but Mills messed up and played significantly worse than SSL did but got the chance to redeem himself straight away. If SSL only had himself to blame and I don't disagree why wasn't Mills treated the same = £5mill. I'm not sure whether SSL is any great shakes or not I just don't think he's been given the same opportunities as Mills. Likewise Bamba is continually cited as being risky yet has made very few if any significant errors where as Mills has messed up on several occasions. Simply put MIlls regularly gets excused for his 'weaknesses' Bamba and SLL get slated.
Ric Flair Posted 11 November 2011 Posted 11 November 2011 SSL is a temperamental bugger, if he's not got things on his terms then he's a shadow of the player he can be and Rhys the player we're currently getting. It's a two-way thing. A new manager, hopefully Pearson should bring the best out of him.

Hush now spherical your just making your self look ridiculous. If you did not understand my simple statement of opinion then may I suggest you pay a visit to specsavers. Oh and while your there bring a pair back for St Ledger.
