Leicester City agree deal with Hull for Nigel Pearson's return

Ahem.... "Pearson's a God".

Already commented upon. And I'm not against Pearson being our manager either. Winning reasonably regularly without being expansive should be better than losing with the same style, as has been the case for far too many seasons. I just don't expect it to be fun to watch, especially on away days.

But who can be sure? Holloway changed his playing philosophy completely when he went to Blackpool. I don't expect that with Pearson but he may come to recognise that - whatever our fans might think - he's failed twice already through not scoring enough goals and might decide to address that with the luxury of having more money to spend.

Pearson was actually quite high on my list of preferences - third i think. I'd just have preferred OGS and to see this club directed with an attacking approach for once. I should have known it was too much to ask for but Pearson is what we've got and i wish him the best.

Something makes me think I don't believe you Thrac..

I'm not sure that you wouldn't want us to start badly so that you can tell us all about Pearsons lack of attacking prowess, too defensive, little creative freedom etc

one thing i have considered should pearson ever sign as manager, is the fact that our board will give him some decent money to spend. what worries me is that three of his signings have been fryatt and hobbs from us .........very ordinary players ........(and we dont want them back) and waghorn who to be quite honest isnt that much better than fryatt...........hang on, he isnt as good as fryatt.......still you never know the whole thing might just fall through !!!

You'll believe what you wish.

Whatever way Pearson approaches his second spell here I think he will have problems to solve and that will take time. Those problems won't make him immune from criticism but it will make for some mitigating factors for a while.

I don't think I've been vindictively critical of any manager or player but when a manager takes a team away to face ordinary opposition and barely musters a shot he deserves criticism...and Pearson did that more than once and there's no excuse for that approach even with the modest squad Sven's left behind.
