davieG Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Hmmm yes i agree, but this is a club in a different financial situation from the one NP was pushed out from. What ever NP's good & bad points he did a wonderful job for us last time & I hope this continues on So do I and I prefer him to the more obvious alternatives.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 God help us now You will get no welcome from me Pearson. I will be the first to cheer when you get the sack. Hope it's soon.' cause you ain't worth Jack Shit.

BoneDog Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 I hope DT doesn't sit anywhere near the dugouts. I can see a kerfuffle happening at a home match if he does. Pearson and DT are going for eachother and Shakey's holding Pearson back saying. "CALM DOWN NIGE, IT'S NOT WORTH IT BRO!!". Then Pearson walks off and does the air headbutt.
Guest Col city fan Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Suggesting Pearson is some sort of super-manager who can turn water into wine is just fantasy. He didn't do it here despite some people trying to convince themselves he did and he didn't do it at Hull, as their "goals scored" column clearly demonstrates. Whatever managerial magic wand Pearson waves might prompt some momentary improvement - it often does with a new manager - but the simple truth is that our squad is not good enough. With Vassell being out for the season we don't even have two wingers - let alone cover for two wingers - we don't have proper attacking full-backs and we don't have enough goals in the side from enough places. Lasting improvement will take time. . Whoever mentioned anything about a super manager? And to suggest that improvement may take time... You don't say... I think Pearson will get it right.. Is all I really said?
Tielemans63 Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Best manager since O'Neill - so why all the negativity. He isn't superman but I didn't believe for a second we'd get MON back and other than maybe Mark Hughes I wouldn't have picked anyone else for the job.

As shown in one of the previous threads Pearson has the best win ratio out of any of the city managers, so i don't get the negativity, he did well the first time who's saying he won't this time? he's a great manager

Balls to the negativity.... For the first time in ages I'm optimistic that we will have the right men in charge.. Wouldn't be surprised though to see some changes in playing staff before very long..

liamsm Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 And hear how its the wrong appointment and how the caller could do a better job of managing the club? This isn't a dig at you btw just the moan-in Dumb nut
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 I hear a lot of people saying the same about you DT Oh yes, I expect you do. Can't blame them either. Even I would vote myself for the the sack! Old fashioned I know, but I believe that if you can't take it, .then don't give it. I don't mind being slagged off at all. The main thing though, is that I speak as I feel. Call a spade a spade, etc. I certainly don't expect to make friends on here. I am a bad, bad old boy.. Speak as you find, and that goes for others too. Knock me down all you like folks, but to old D.T. it's like water off a ducks back. Please feel free, all of you to put the boot in, I'm used to it. However, it wont change my views, and it will not stop me saying my piece. If anyone on here doesn't like it, they can lump it. That's the way it is, and the way it will always be.
Christoph Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 I don't want to be optimistic just because im too used to being a Leicester fan but I can't complain with the return of pearson.

Hope it's soon.' cause you ain't worth Jack Shit.  Nice to see you getting behind the team. Pearson did a very good job. He came into a relegated squad, won the League at the first time of asking (when other teams haven't done that - Forest, Southampton, Leeds etc all big clubs) and took us to 5th. I suppose you can have your say, because we all pay to voice our own opinion, but writing him off before he has even started is ridiculous. I hope this turns out to be one of the clubs' best decisions and you are made to eat your words.

So I imagined those two season in which he took the remenents of a team that had just got relegated to the third tier, supplemented it with a couple of free transfers and loans, taking them straight back up as champions, then spent very little the following summer, taking that newly promoted team to within a penalty shoot-out of Wembley? Oh and success is not purely about goals, which is why we finished higher under Pearson than under Sven - despite scoring more goals under Sven than under Pearson.

Completely agree with you. I think people treat this place more like a dating sight than saying what they really think. Say anything, as long as you're saying what the majority want you to say.

Say anything, as long as you're saying what the majority want you to say. I think it's changed on here to be fair Stu. I used to agree with you in terms of being shot down if you didn't go with the status quo... This was mainly about the incredible love affair that many on here seemed to have with Sven. Now I think it's become more balanced and the really obnoxious peeps, no names mentioned, are crawling back into their holes, at least a bit. I respect DT and others for stating their minds, though I don't agree with him this time round. That's what a forum is for IMO. I've been on here for some time, have made no 'buddies' to speak of, seem to warm to some and not to others. Just a place to air your views really In a decent way..
