lestajigs Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 Cov away, at highfeild rd, when we played in that yellow kit, think heskey scored, man u away think second game of season we held then to a draw, Villa in the fa cup, we won 2.1 in the last minute bang of the bar beating schmeichel. Man city away on a Sunday, was it 3.0? Chelsea away in carling cup,
Weller in Tights Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 I am an old man so it has taken a few days of hard thinking. You know what I still can't narrow it down much. Orient away when we won promotion from Div 2 to Div 1. Must have been 13,000 city there, we were drinking and partying up and down the high street before the game and in the ground during and after the game. Amazing experience!! All the old games at the Baseball ground. God they were fun!!!!! that rat run after the game where bottles and stones came flying over !!! West Ham away, god knows what year, it was late 70's. I think all teams had been banned from the trains due to trouble across the country (heavy time late 70's) and Midland Red refused to put coaches on for us after an incident at coventry away where someone threw a seat out a back window on the motorway. We would not be stopped though, 5 of us got the 'Shoppers bus' to London early on the Saturday morning from St Maggies bus station. It dropped us at Victoria station. On out way to Upton Park we saw no other Leicester fans on the underground. We kept our mouths shut as the West Ham skinheads joined the underground trains. We were heavily and I mean heavily outnumbered in our own end. I was glad it was a draw in the end!!!! but a helluva experience!!!! Notts County away in the (i think it was called this) Zenith Data Cup. Absolutely thousands of City there on a cold night . Taking my wife to Port Vale away on Valentines day 20 years ago. Standing on a cold open terrace, we had been going out 6 weeks, she hated football, but she understood how much my footie meant to me. So many memories, thanks City.
Guest foxestalkisfullofidiots Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 For experience, Barnsley season 95/96 I think, Mark Magee was in charge and the score was 2-2 we had behind the goal and half of the stand at the side but it was my first away game so I just loved the day For result It would have to be either Villa 3-1 96/97 or Man U 1-0 97/98 I think For atmosphere Wolves 95/96 3-2 it was full house under the lights
robbieLOVESthealmightylcfc Posted 28 November 2011 Posted 28 November 2011 loved the 3-2 at huddersfeild a few seasons ago
cardifflee Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 Tranmere away in the play off semi years ago coming out the ground i got abused by a woman in a wheelchair goin nuts at me Leicester are shite etc etc so i grabbed her wheelchair and took her for a spin as fast as i could in the car park then got chased by the old bill cause she was screaming so loud awwww the good old days
seenitall Posted 29 November 2011 Posted 29 November 2011 Villa away 4-4 - relegation season and losing 4-1 on 80 minutes plus (I think), we nearly went home but as we were discussing, we got a second so we stayed and it was as good as it gets - can't remember exactly when without looking it up but we listened to the first Supergrass album in the car on the way there and back - early 90's I'd say
