Red Star Belgrade. Buzzing.

That game was played in Vienna wasn't it? Somewhere line that anyway, i'm pretty sure the game wasn't played in Belgrade from what I remember.

Southend winning the league was the most complete weekend ever. Great game, incredible celebrations and all leicester packing out Papilion at 3am with old bill replacing bouncers on the doors singing was magic.

Papilion was the shit and the urine. Only away trip that came close to that was Leyton Orient the same season and blaring out Razorlight on the Karaoke with the Woolers brothers in the Orient fans main pub. I missed going to Stevenage vs Orient last weekend and I was gutted.

Sad I know, but Notts County ZDS cup. Little's first season. Pissing down, freezing cold, extra time winner bt Paul Fitzpatrick I think. 7000 of us in the open end partying like we had just won the world cup.

Lost to Forest in the next round.

My first away game lol, with the lads we was 13/14.

Cold , wet but we won!

Tough one this......

Southend was a fantastic trip, perfect way to crown a great season.

Charlton away in the FA Cup with Dion Dublins's last minute winner stands out aswell.

Leyton Orient last game of the 79-80 season.... Went up as champions!

There is something about Brisbane Road that appeals... not in the same category as your experience but Orient away in Pearson's first spell was memorable.

There was some good banter with the Home fans, superb atmosphere and singing, Bernie was on form...a win, some good goals, we all had hopes for promotion and I always like to go to London and put one up the cockneys (in a strictly heterosexual sense of course).

Some respect due to Leighton Orient: I like the set up down there; a good football club that understands football from a fans point of view.

79 - 78 must have been a superb day out - I have heard many older lads talk about it.

Barnsley away was brilliant as the atmosphere was amazing. 6000 Leicester fans singing. Shame we went down with the Clown though

What was your favourite away game? :scarf:

My first ever away game, it was amazing.

Will always remember Lee Hendrie running out after we scored and was celebrating

Tough call, beating Derby at Pride Park 4-0 just for the game. There were loads from the O'Neill era though, winning at Anfield, White Hart Lane, Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge were all good.

The Madrid and Belgrade games were great but the two that stand out were both end of season games - winning 5-2 at Blackburn, with frigging snow and sleet in May but still doing a conga down the front and also losing 4-2 at West Ham but having Hammers fans buying drinks for us before and after the game, proper banter, great days.

Got to be Chelsea away atmosphere was electric, from us anyway and I can picture McCauley's header going into the roof of the net and going mental :trumpet:

and Cardiff away last season about 12 of us went and was really good day out, just the result was shit and like wise QPR (relegation season) great day out in London, nice Pizza Express afterwards yum!

Can anyone remember the Man City cup away game i think in the 90's we lost 4-1 or 5-1 but David Oldfield scored the Leicester goal which was a screamer?

Yea I remember. We took about ten thousand. And I also remember Mark Hughes and co being dirty and mardy arsed

Villa away in the first premier season under MON, won 3-1 and Muzzy dove into the crowd as the third went in after a great solo run.

Watford away again Muzzy scoring the winner to sneak a play off place, 6000 and about 500 Fez's

Wimbledon at Selhurst for the league cup semi final

Cardiff in the play offs 2009 for the sheer emotional rollercoaster

Southend 2-1 on a hot summers day in essex after being 1 down with 3 minutes to go, mayhem!

I think this was the 1st time i went to an away game with such a sheer volume of Leicester Fans behind one end, loved the fez's and when Muzzy scored me and my mates went absolutely nuts. Good Day.

Was at Anfield both times when we beat them under o'neill, not great away trips but 2 results no one can ever take away from me.

And L1 was just fun in general, Cheltenham, Orient, Scunny, Carlise, Posh, southend and crewe, just some of the most enjoyable days out, for the banter and the results. Orient we nearly didn't make as the lad in charge of tickets put them in a post box with his letters the morning of the game and Carlise 20 Hours out the house left at 4am Sat Moring and got home at midnight, drinking all the way there and back and at 1-0 down I wished I had stayed in cuba where I was 3 days before the game, but then Bruno scored, oh how a goal can change your mood.

Oh and I know it says not to count play-off games, but Cardiff made me proud to be a Leicester fan and I was there when Parker scored at Stoke, couldn't tell you anything else about the rest of that game as I was just so ecstatic I can't remember anything until I had the sobering sight of the stoke end emptying towards us.

I remember going down to London in the early nineties to see us play charlton at upton park, fantastic day out, we lost 2-0 I think, but I'll never forget the Leicester supporters running on the pitch before the game with a massive inflatable football passing it between them from our end all the way to the other scoring a memorable. goal to rapturous applause right in front of the charlton support and large contingent of ICF looking very unimpressed lol!!

Is this the game where if we won, we could have gone up? I know we played charlton once and because we lost, we ended up in the play-offs. I don't suppose you remember someone in fancy dress, dressed up as a big chicken running across the pitch? That was me!

Anyway, one of my favorites was Barnsley in the cup. We took about 6k there. I didn't get in until half time and missed Joachim's goal. They'd just built a stand but wasn't officially open until the weekend...for the visit of Leicester!

Notts Co. in the ZDS cup. Wet.

...just remembered, Chelsea in the cup as well with Tags in charge. Even though we lost, I was so proud to be a fox that night. Fantastic City support that night.

The Forest 3-2 stands out for the carnage after our goals, nearly ended up in the lower tier after Stearman poked his goal.

Had so many good away's that haven't really been because of the match, good job really I suppose.

One of the most memorable for me was Villa away in the League Cup. We were under Megson I think and playing pretty crappy but Fryatt popped up with the winner in the 70th something minute.

We made a lot of noise that night and Megsons game plan worked beautifully ( not often I can say that!)

lol

Yep Barnsley away deffo my favorite, i like that you can just park for free in a field next to the away end, quality, oh and also that dimensions stand / shoe box thing they have.

Sheffield united is another purely because of mattock breaking his leg right in front of us quality :D !!

ha yeah - although right side left side doesn't work very well at Bumhole lane, something about the acoustics?
