Thiis was the first time I've seen him play and must admit I'm quite impressed with what I saw.he made some good runs and looked sharp got a good feeling Pearson will bring the best out of him so good luck for the rest of the Season mr beckford hope you fire us into the playoffs and before someone says it I know he had a few quiet games but in time he will be good.

The best I've seen him play, looked hungry and confident, still haven't seen any signs of him getting a good understanding with Nugent, they don't seem to ever feed off each other and set each other up. A couple of good efforts today and played better than Nugent from what I saw.

My main issues with Beckford are his touch and his decision making.

When he finds himself 1 v 1 with a chance to drive at a defender he seems to shoot too early, and when theres a box full of defenders he seems to want to dribble through them all.

If his touch was better he would easily have 5 goals to his name by now. Schmeichel's kicks are a secret weapon and has put Beckford clean through a couple of times but he hasnt been able to control it. In general play his touch is awful too, when he dribbles he seems to kick the ball rather than keep it close to him.

Him and Nugent seem to cross paths too and always make the same runs as each other.

Beckford has definitely improved under Pearson, Pearson seems to have put an arm round him and gave him that confidence he needs so hopefully we can start seeing the best of him because we all know the potential he has.

he's getting up to speed and just needs a couple more games. His weakness is his weakness in the air with his back to goal - it's no use casper lumping the big ball up to him. I think he'll be good for 12 goals this season. the fans need to start cutting him some slack and treating him like our own as if we get on his back he'll lose confidence.
