Ticket prices

How is not turning up going to get cheaper prices? Even if people boycotted it may well make no difference. And you'd have to miss something you love doing for a significant amount of time, which isn't worth it when you know it probably won't make a difference.

People don't want to boycott because they love going, but they know they are getting taken to the cleaners all the same. And even though I've got a season ticket and therefore it's not really as issue for me, I know for a fact that the ticket prices put people off. So I'm going to go, because I've already paid, but I'm still going to complain because I know it's not helping attendances.

See, very simple, it makes sense for people to complain and still go.

And you called my post silly? Of course it will make a fvcking difference - they may not get much from gate receipts (percentage of overall turnover wise) but they are completely reliant on fans - if the fans don't turn up then who is going to shell out a single pence on sponsorship and the like? Oh, as for the whole miss something you love bit, maybe so, but if it comes down to either wanting short term enjoyment or being able to go in the long term then I'm for the long term every single time and as far as I can see it takes a very narrow-minded, "want it now!" sort of person to think otherwise.

It only makes sense for people to complain and still go if you're the sort of person who likes to moan but won't do a ****ing thing about the problem at the very centre of your moan, i.e. you don't really care about what you're moaning about, you just want to moan.

If people actually cared that much about being charged too much then they'd refuse to pay the prices asked, out of principle if nothing else.

So who's going to boycott then? A couple of thousand? 10 thousand? 20 thousand? Or just a few individuals?

For it to make any difference we'd have to lose over 10 thousand fans for a significant period. That aint going to happen.

It makes sense to moan because the ticket prices are unfair. There's actually very little we can do about it, protesting is a possibility but who's pissed off enough to do that? And we'd still be paying the money, and not supporting the team, and probably not enjoying the game.

You just like to moan about people moaning, so why don't you boycott the forum?

Your logic is complete bull, because nobody can do anything about it they shouldn't complain. Well that's exactly the reason to complain. And guess what? I'm gonna moan about it when I feel like it, and there aint much you can do about it other than moan about me moaning.

It makes sense to moan because he ticket prices are wrong. There's actually very little we can do about it, protesting is a possibility but whose pissed off enough to do that? And we'd still be paying the money, and not supporting the team, and probably not enjoying the game.

y'know what, why don't you fvck off, learn to read and then come back?

I quite clearly stated that I have nothing against moaning about ticket prices, they are a disgrace, but, for the third or fourth time, if you really care that much then back your words (moans) up with actions (refusing to pay).

Yeah I agree, it's awful pricing. I have a season ticket, so I'm kind of okay. I bought it at the beginning of the year during the 'Early-bird' time for £130 (Under-18's) and now for a half season ticket for the same ages it's £130 again. Silly pricing, I look at the individual match ticket prices sometimes, and in J3 where i sit it costs £21 each game! Where are Under-18's meant to get that kind of money from on a regular basis! EMA has stopped too so if you don;t have a job your stuffed!

Thats why its stopped! EMA stood for Education Maintenance Allowance, to buy books and to help with costs on transport! Not to subsidise footy tickets! Students are no more deserving of benefits than anyone else
