dog_4 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 brilliant! 3.25m on him then get dos santos and townsend on loan! sorted!
Father Ted Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Also, best thing about this lad is his attitude. We need workers.
NewburyFox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Very similar to Nugent. Would like to see him here as he's a great player at this level, but I'm unsure as to whether they can make a formidable partnership.
Happy Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Author Posted 27 December 2011 Lets hope the midfield is sorted out otherwise Sharp will be starved off opportunities.

He's not bald Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Billy Sharp is a great shout...he's not good enough for the prem.... but hell neither our we..come on Billy do be a hero!!
marbelladave Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Decent enough player but not what we need....... We need a good all round forward who can lead the line, play with his back to goal and bring others into the game. With one or two of Nugent, Schlupp, Beckford, even Waghorn supporting at pace we would actually have a chance at scoring some goals.
Kitchandro Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Doesn't strike me as the type of player that could work alongside a player in similar playing style, as Nugent is a carbon copy of Sharp but we will see what happens I guess. This is sort of how I feel, Nugent and Sharp seem similar players. I'd prefer someone like Maynard who's a bit different, though that may still be a non-starter. Of course Sharp would be much preferred to Boyd. The thing is that our season will not be defined on which striker we sign. Arguably we need another one yes, but it is the 2 or 3 midfielders that we must bring in which will be make or break.

Spot on absolutely crucial we get the right midfielders in.
hackneyfox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 I despair if we didn't get any wingers in and this was the case. That'll be me finished for the season then if Dyer is truly part of Pearson's plans. If we can all be generous and understand that Pearson plays him as he's our only wide player but we all know he is shite then surely NFP should be able to see it. Fook em

Fook em Indeed, lets hope this isn't the case but you never know seeing that Wellens the c**t starts every week.
hackneyfox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Fernandes and Danns not being given a chance but the future to be built around Wellens and Dyer, players who would now work at 3rd division level. I didn't expect much from FNP, I still hope that he'll prove me wrong but if Bert truly thinks that FNP has plans for Dyer then I'll stick with away games aroun London and not bother using my st again this season.
Libertine Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 "Part of his plans" doesn't mean starting. I hope anyway. Michael frigging Ball could be said to be part of our plans/squad, doesn't mean we'll see him ever again.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 Would like anyone out of sharp/Maynard or Rhodes but I also think we need a target man In Juke box/heskey or fuller ?! Surely we are goin to spend more than 8m in January ?!

I'm not haapy to see Weale or Howard on the bench either. We only have 5 bench places, if Dyer and Weal take 2 and god forbid Howard a 3rd the we're doomed I tell thee, doomed.
Libertine Dream Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 I don't personally see Bert as reliable anymore. Fairplay some of his information in the past has been spot on and he's been a good source of knowledge but in the last couple of months he has said some stupid things. Im not having a go at him, just dont see him as reliable, but as I don't have any info myself, I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

On Howard I'm completely with you.
hackneyfox Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 Just not happy to see Dyer at the club period. I don't want him on the bench as I don't see him ever saving a game for us, he's 3rd division. AS LD says, Bert has been soooo wrong recently, I'm hoping h still is. I can't believe that FNP can get it that badly wrong, if he does then I'm hoping for a new manager sharpish.
