ithuriel Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 According to wikipedia he is a goal poacher with a good goal scoring record but contribute's little else to the team, bit like Yakubu then.
davieG Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Think that's a few days old. Personally haven't heard anything, would be surprised if Dyer goes, very much in Pearsons plans. Yes I know but if this is about to be announced it's hardly likely to be about a current contracted player in or out, unless of course it's nothing to do with players.
Libertine Dream Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Surely a couple of players in and out of both clubs would not make 'interesting developments' unless they were massive names. I know Wednesday were supposedly linked with a take over a few weeks back.
Jace Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Interesting development as in it sounds like another sideways step signing
lcfcsnow Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Oh jesus christ, please not Kris Boyd. It's bound to be, and it will continue the trend of big, slow, carthorses that we love to give a home to, even with money available. Scowcroft, Dublin, Blake, De Vries, Cort, Howard, Boyd. I'm just surprised we haven't gone for Adebola or Iwelumo yet.
ithuriel Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Could work really well if we get a decent winger or two, box goal poacher would be required.
Kitchandro Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Oh jesus christ, please not Kris Boyd. Yeh, if this our big January buy we are well and truly screwed.
Jace Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 We need decent up and coming strikers and midfielders if we want to improve, we have had too many unwanted players here from other clubs who were good at 1 time but are now only consistent at failing everywhere they play. Give us young hungry to win players with some pace and flair going foward please then we will be in the promotion hunt
ithuriel Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 We need good players who are hungry, age doesnt matter so much for forwards, when O'niell was here we had Claridge, robins, roberts, marshall and cottee who did a good job for us and we're viewed by some as cart horses when we initially brought them. What we lack this season is a pen box goal poacher and what is strange is that no one has even mentioned it that i can remember :xmasunsure:
Jordan Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 A twitter gossip-monger drops a vague hint about something possibly happening with regards to Leicester City in the near-future? How exciting.
Narborough_fox Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Kris Boyd is shit. Yours truthfully... A Ranger fan.
Happy Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Author Posted 27 December 2011 Is he better than Howard on the shitometer?
cc_star Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 O'Niell & Pearson (first time around) had their greatest success from signings which other clubs over-looked or turned their nose up at What's important is the ability to do your job, not whether you're a big name £4m Premiership player or not Beckford, Mills, Danns, Pantisil and many more all arrived with either 'big' names or other (better placed) clubs chasing them Seems to me people have still got Svenitus & are going to rule anyone out that costs less then £5m and isn't on £40k/week.

Billy Sharp would probably go for about half that and want less than half the money. Most of us would be delighted to see him at the KP.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Billy sharp and Nugent are good freinds and Nugent is on about £25,000 so would sharp think he is worth that much ?
Happy Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Author Posted 27 December 2011 John__Percy John Percy #LCFC are going to bid for #DRFC striker Billy Sharp. No 1 target for Jan, even ahead of Nicky Maynard. Hoping to have talks next week 16 minutes ago Yes please

Jace Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Billy Sharp would hopefully be a fantastic signing for us, Maynard is a good striker but rumours in the summer sounded like he wasn't interested in Leicester which is not what we need right now
Corky Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Sharp would be a good signing, no doubt cheaper than Maynard.
Happy Fox Posted 27 December 2011 Author Posted 27 December 2011 Doesn't strike me as the type of player that could work alongside a player in similar playing style, as Nugent is a carbon copy of Sharp but we will see what happens I guess.
bluearmyfox23 Posted 27 December 2011 Posted 27 December 2011 Sharp doesn't do much apart from scoring therefore i think him and Nugent could work!! Also maynard wasn't interested in Leicester because his wife was less than a month away from giving birth and they where settled in Bristol? Tbh I would do the same thing if I was him!!
