lovelcfc Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 Lets make this place a hard place to come again, I know the players are playing shit atm and its up to the players to get the fans going but when the other team come they must think its so quite, Leeds have got it, stoke have got it and we had it under pearson last time so we can do it again and make leicester city a hard place to come
leicesterisme Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 No way do Leeds have it at Elland Road. Most of their games the atmosphere is shocking.
GREG LCFC Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 if kop was moved to family stand the place wud come to life!
The Doctor Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 it wud No it wouldn't - the problems with our atmosphere, with atmosphere at most English grounds runs a lot deeper than just positioning of fans.
Corky Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 it wud Don't think it would. I think the dynamic of supporters going to the games has changed and the Kop is a lot different to the Double Decker at Filbert St. If people really wanted to make a noise they would regardless of where they sit.

Kitchandro Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 The only thing that is truly and realistically going to have an impact on our atmosphere is success. If we were winning games, playing well and in the top 2 the atmosphere would be quite a bit better. If we were in the Prem and had 30K (or 35K+ with the redevelopment) at the ground the atmosphere would be good. Other things can make a difference but not a major one. If Stoke weren't in the Premiership I doubt they'd have the reputation that they do now.
MrFox781 Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 I personally hate the name of our stadium. KING POWER STADIUM. WTF. Its embarrasing. Also putting adverts on the screen at matches. has anyone seen a king power store in leicester. not like am going to say one to my parents 'just going down the local king power store'. I hate it. prefer walkers.
Thracian Posted 28 December 2011 Posted 28 December 2011 If we're going to create any real atmosphere there has to be some excitement on the pitch to stir the emotions. Even if we don't win or play the most scintilating football we have to play with the sort of attitude and commitment which produces chances and shots and incidents in the box. Pressing high up the pitch would help in that respect because it would encouage mistakes but really we're a languid side. We don't have many "busy" players, we don't have people who take folk on (at least not in attacking areas) we don't have MON-type kamikaze's to attack the penalty box we're a slow-motion team which is far too predictable most of the time. Worst of all is our lack of movement off the ball. We hardly have any will o'-the-wisp players like Mackail-Smith who are there one minute and gone the next. Some teams seem to have several but times I see all our players just standing still waiting for something to happen rather than making it happen. When was the last time we worked a crossover, a genuine overlap or had a glancing near-post header on target from a corner? All three things are collectors items but they should be happening all the time the same as our supposedly supporting wingers, full-backs and midfield players should all be having a pop at goal. We so badly need an injection of energy to lift the crowd and to lift us up the table as well. I can't be bothered to count how many goals we've scored since Pearson's arrival but it won't be many. Indeed i'd imagine a team like Manchester United has more efforts on goal in a game than we've had throughout Pearson's second coming. Unfortunately, our manager needs to realise it's goals, shots, a sense of urgency and the promise of incident that lifts a crowd. And, in that department we're close to an all-time low since i've been a supporter.
