Yojoe36 Posted 29 January 2012 Posted 29 January 2012 No college monday so I shall be defiantly watching this EDIT: I remember last time I made a topic about WWE I got called sad and stuff like that, I see some of you have come out your shells Pffft. I've got work at 9am then college till 4. I'm still watching it. If anyone's 'sad', it'd be me, despite me despising WWE since 2006, I still watch it.
Yojoe36 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Road Dogg and Hacksaw Jim Duggen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MARK THE FVCK OUT
Libertine Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Sheamus wins. Jeeeeez. All that Y2J build up for what? Good match though.
Haydos Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 WWE has officially gone own the pan. Most of the Royal Rumble was just a big joke. Embarrassing, can't believe people pay money to watch it these days.
The Blur Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Seriously guys- no offence at all but how on the earth could you all like a sport where everything is scripted and nothing is real?
Haydos Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Seriously guys- no offence at all but how on the earth could you all like a sport where everything is scripted and nothing is real? Do you not watch television or films or read books?
The Blur Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Do you not watch television or films or read books? True, but this is a sport we are talking about- Sports just doesn't have scripted conclusions otherwise we would have Leicester City winning the league every week!
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 WadeBarrett Wade Barrett How about that ginger tosser winning the 'Rumble? After the beatings i've given him recently, you'll never see a more ill-deserved win. I thought this was a poor Rumble on a whole! Cage Match - It was too short and really didn't need Henry in it if he couldn't do anything because of his injury. They wasted time with a divas match when other matches could have been longer. Same with the Brodus match, he basically did what he does every week on Raw and SD when they could have used him in the Rumble. Kane vs Cena was boring and this whole 'Embrace the Hate' story has got boring. Punk vs Ziggler could have been better. Ziggler was made to look really mid carder like in the PPV especially after taking Kharma's finisher. The Rumble match was one of the worst. Road Dogg looked great but hate the whole WWE PG 'Oh you didn't know, you better call somebody' can't they say ass anymore? Kofi's handstand was ace. Socko vs Snake and Ricardo were funny but this Rumble ended up being more like a Gimmick match with all commentators coming in. They could have made Booker last a bit longer at least! Why no Undertaker? not even the sound of the bell or the lights going out to hint a return? What's happening with The Rock? is he just going to make a few appearances before Mania, have a match then piss off again. I wanted Jericho to win and even though I like Sheamus, his win did annoy me. Not sure where they are going at the moment but I hope they somehow pull this off. EDIT: I'm glad I didn't pay to watch it, I have always liked watching the Rumble and paying for it but this years was the worst in a long time
Haydos Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 True, but this is a sport we are talking about- Sports just doesn't have scripted conclusions otherwise we would have Leicester City winning the league every week! Anyone who enjoys it and calls it a real 'sport' is really kidding themselves. They're all talented guys and whatnot but I don't think people watch it like they do other more conventional sports.
Yojoe36 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 The cage match looked like a botched finished. There was also waaaaay too much filler. I mean FFS, you expect me to pay for filler?
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Im 16 and I like watching it, used to be awful when it first went PG but it's getting better, if i'm sad because I enjoy watching something other people don't like watching well then i'm sad... Seriously guys- no offence at all but how on the earth could you all like a sport where everything is scripted and nothing is real? Yes there are storylines but it's still real, the wrestlers can injure themselves at any point in a match
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 The cage match looked like a botched finished. I didn't see the point of putting Mark Henry in it because he was injured a few weeks ago
Libertine Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Seriously guys- no offence at all but how on the earth could you all like a sport where everything is scripted and nothing is real? It's a laugh. Hardly something to take really seriously. Not that any sport is really. Thought it was okay, but the whole Y2J build up for him to just come second in the rumble? Pointless.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 It's a laugh. Hardly something to take really seriously. Not that any sport is really. Thought it was okay, but the whole Y2J build up for him to just come second in the rumble? Pointless. That really pissed me off, all that hype from him and then he doesn't win the rumble? WWE writers piss me off so much! What I wished had happened was him to come in number 30 spot and then the lights go out and then when they come back on you just see him stood in the middle of the ring with 5 or so superstars on the outside, therefore him winning it and still trolling people because they haven't seen him wrestle. I was also annoyed with the 3 announcers getting a royal rumble spot but no Brodus Clay? Karma coming was a complete shock and so was Sheamus winning it, could of been worse though because there was talk on Cena coming in and winning it and then having to decide weather to face The Rock at Wrestlemania or get his title match. I can see Raw being good tonight because something good is going to happen involving Punk and laurinaitis, going to record that due to college in the morning
Yojoe36 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I didn't see the point of putting Mark Henry in it because he was injured a few weeks ago The only fvcking reason they made Bryan cash in his MITB was because Henry was injured. But fvck no, he still wrestles!! I thought turning Bryan heel was a good thing, but he'll end up as a jobber after WM. Also, a heel should of won the Rumble IMO. Who's Shemus gonna face? Bryan? The guy who's a cheap heel, and made to look weak. Bullshit. That ain't a WM match. Henry? no way. If Orton doesn't put Barret over, then fvck them
Libertine Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 That really pissed me off, all that hype from him and then he doesn't win the rumble? WWE writers piss me off so much! I was expecting a similar scenario too for a while. Wasn't sure after he finally spoke though. It's not so much him not winning, as it's probably better to put over one of the current guys than have someone who'll be around for 6 months win, but it's the complete lack of anything happening with it at all.

If Orton doesn't put Barret over, then fvck them WWE don't like Daniel Bryan at all, making him look shit all the while, I can see Wade Barret winning the title at Elimination Chamber due to all these tweets he is doing about Sheamus (which normally mean a feud is coming). The way they did the rumble was awful, I mean Jericho coming in at 29 and then who comes in next.....Big Show I thought Taker would of returned because you can't just bring in Jericho then follow it off with Big Show! They didn't make Jericho look that good, I thought he would keep eliminating people one by one but he just looked rusty. I would of rather The Miz of won it, all the gloating he would of done with the odds stacked against him and then Big Show eliminating 3 superstars, 2 of them being the longest in it.
Libertine Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Big Show at 30 was ridiculous. Ricardo was brilliant though. And Road Dogg, took me back.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Big Show at 30 was ridiculous. Ricardo was brilliant though. And Road Dogg, took me back. Didn't see the point of that, why not bring back some other big superstar or made Jericho come out at 30? Same here! The whole Ricardo, Foley and Santino bit was quality! Cobra vs Sock That was the highlight of the night
kingfox Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Kofi Kingston hand stand was pretty special aswell, and the legend that is Michael Cole. Sheamus is a good enough winner, so overall im happy that he won.

When Big Show came, I just facepalmed. Having all the announcers and having Ziggler and Big Show getting double-booked just shows how weak the roster is at the minute. WWE need to start pushing more stars, instead of burying them by the likes of Orton I said before the PPV if a Smackdown superstar wins, then WWE may still contemplating on whether they'll make Rock vs Cena a title match WHICH I DO NOT WANT. You've got a good point saying Barret might win at Elimination Chamber. It'll be good to have 2 'younger gen' wrestlers in a title match at WM.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 The Rumble match has made Jericho not look good, when he went for the pinfall at the end was a major facepalm! WWE have not thought that good about his return, Kane has had a better return but that is probably only due to the reason that he is working with Cena and we all know how much they bum him! Im not going to go on though but all i'm going to say is that on Raw Jericho better do something good or his return has been pointless
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Just watched the Kane match and Brodus Clay one due to missing it last night and have to say the Cena one was awful! Love Clay though Just started watching royal rumble again, Ricardo has just come in it
General Smuts Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 Not seen it yet so won't read the thread in case I see who wins. Does anyone have a link to watch it? If so inbox me please.
Libertine Posted 30 January 2012 Posted 30 January 2012 I said before the PPV if a Smackdown superstar wins, then WWE may still contemplating on whether they'll make Rock vs Cena a title match WHICH I DO NOT WANT. Agreed. Heard somewhere that Rock is signed on for another PPV after WM though so it's possible he may win it in his home town then lose it a month later in the rematch. Very unlikely though with him being only part time, would be a bit of a mockery.
