Schmeichel 7 - Not much to say really.

Peltier 5 - He's been poor for a while now. Constantly getting caught out of position, which is partly not his fault as he's our wide outlet on the right. He's not superman and can't be everywhere at once. Would maybe like to see Pantsil given a go when he gets back.

Mills 7 - I thought he was pretty good today, usual hoofing aside. Also did a passable impression of Andy Carroll when he went up front. Actually, that's a massive disservice to Mills.

St. Ledger 6 - Not much to say really. Good to see that he can play left back in an emergency.

Konchesky 5 - Thought he looked like he was in a trance for much of the first half - all their good play came down his side. Improved at the start of the second, then went off.

Drinkwater 6 - 4.5 for his play on the right, 7.5 for his play in the middle.

Wellens 5 - Not great (again), but made a couple of cracking blocks on the edge of the box.

Danns 6 - Took one for the team in getting sent off. Great energy about him, if his passing was a bit better he'd be a serious player.

Dyer 4 - Poor today. Often made 10 yards and then tripped over the ball.

Beckford 6.5 - Until he was sent off it was actually one of the more impressive Beckford performances I've seen. He held the ball well and provided a neat bit of skill to get himself a chance he ultimately squandered. I'm still not convinced by his movement off the ball. Given that nobody seems to know for sure what he was sent off for I don't think it's fair to comment on that.

Nugent 5.5 - Worked hard, but struggled to make an impact.

subs:

Morgan 6 - Did what he had to do. Everyone likes a unit. Potential to become a cult hero.

Marshall 5 - Didn't get enough of the ball and when he did, he wasted it. Having Sparrow's studs in his thigh can't have helped, mind.

Delfouneso 6 - Thought he looked sharp until he went off injured.

Playing with 8 at the end was mental. We had arguably our best chances to score then as well.

Serious question, when was the last time we ended a match with 8 players?

Schmeichel 6 - didn't have much to do. Made probably one good save. Kicking poor.

Peltier 5 - looked more of a liability than a threat today, didn't really offer much.

Mills 7 - a good match for Mills I felt, very strong. Was funny to see him playing centre forward as well.

SSL 6 - didn't really see too much of him to be honest.

Konchesky 4 - don't know what happened to him today. As with Peltier, got caught in possesion and we looked very weak down that side.

Drinkwater 6 - got stuck in the first half and showed some energy. Second half created a few chances but still waiting for him to match what I've heard about him.

Danns 5 - ran about rather aimlessly, needed someone with him to chase/pick up loose balls. I honestly do think we missed Bamba in that respect. Shouldn't have made the red card tackle.

Wellens 5 - lazy. Made a few good chances but looked off the pace and didn't aid Danns in anyway.

Dire 4 - the name says it. Really really want him to do well, he just kept making runs and getting the balls caught under his feet.

Beckford 4 - a day I'll admit Beckford played badly. Just didn't seem in it. We didn't really attack whilst he was playing but made no effort for headers. I know the sending off PROBABLY wasn't a sending off, but he really doesn't help himself by milling around the player that he 'fouled'. If he just got on with it, he wouldn't have got into trouble.

Nugent 5 - again, attack largely annoymous whilst he was playing. Quite ironic we didn't play any attacking football until our strikers went off.

SUBS

Morgan 5 - didn't have to do much. Thought he could have done better at one of the freekicks, all I can remember.

Marshall 5 - no impact. Poor shot to probably our best choice. He'll come good I'm sure.

Delf N/a - didn't really see him touch the ball so can comment. Will say I think that tackle could've warrented a red.

Nigey 6 - tactics didn't really pay off today. Brighton are a team we normally beat as they play across the floor football, but didn't happen. Odd sub choices also.

Fans 8 - loved the Mattock bantz. think a few people need to learn the words to "We Love You" if we're going to sing it. Quiet in parts though...

Amazing!

It's funny how perspectives differ! Honestly thought he had a v. poor game having improved much recently. The only thing he did well was that one bit of skill you mention. For the past few games he's been doing that 5/6 times a game. Views are subjective I suppose!

Schmeichel - 7. Didn't really have loads to do, the goal was smashed at him a bit but I've seen him save them before.

Peltier - 5. Where was he for their goal? Quiet game and lets himself down on that.

Mills - 7. Not a bad game.

St Ledger - 6. Shaky for me.

Konchesky - 6. Didn't really get involved much to be fair.

Drinkwater - 7. Put himself about, another creditable effort from him today.

Danns - 4. Useless. Passing completion embarrassing and a red card to top it off.

Wellens - 4. Did he play? Totally ineffective. We need Drinkwater starting here.

Dyer - 3. Completely laughable. Bottled it every time anyone went near him. I genuinely would consider loaning him out during winter months, it's painful.

Nugent - 6. Tried hard and had the job of two, yet again, to no real avail.

Beckford - 6. Had a chance where he should have done better, looks more interested though still. I don't know why he can't score away from home. I'm still unaware as to why he was sent off.

Subs;

Morgan - 6. Quiet.

Delfouneso - 5. Quieter.

Marshall - 6. Involved but didn't really produce enough sadly, looks a better bet having him on the right and Drinkwater in the centre though.

Pearson - 5. Unluckily let down again, although his selection baffled me a little, I'm getting increasingly tired of Wellens I'm afraid, he's looking more and more out of his depth, and I'm saying this as someone whose been a big Wellens fan since he joined. To be fair, we seemed to play better with 10 than 11.

Ref - Can't judge. Inconsistent as usual but that's to be expected when you've got a governing body who are so up their own cvnting arseholes to realise there ARE problems, so the shit will continue whilst the dis-interested pricks at the top remain. On the pitch, he was poor and made some very dubious decisions, too card-loving for my liking too. Fvcking embarrassing.
