Topgun Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Right, sorry as I know there will be countless threads regarding this. So far our season has been very mediocre and we find ourselves 7 points off p/o. I don't think its all over tho, still time to go on a good run, but I think we must hit our form this month! And think 7 points from our next 3 are a must in order to stay around the playoff mark. It sounds so easy but knowing us we'll get beat by cardiff and then all be down in dumps again. I hope beyond hope we can achieve p/o, but if we didn't, I'd want to go far in the fa cup. Just wondered on your opinions over how we'll finish the season?
mod hero Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 i havent seen anything to suggest that we will get 7 points in the next 3 games. we need a decent left winger who can create and hope marshall and drinkwater give us a badly needed lift. however i expect the 2 to start on sat. tough game
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 Stick your optimism up your arse, this form is for knee jerkers and moaners only!
Reynard Bleu Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 We have been looking for the push to start since the start of the season. For whatever reason this sqaud has a fragility about it that means the consistency required to make a concerted push is just not there. I would love to be proven wrong but so many false starts this year make it difficult to see the play-offs a realistic target for me.
StanSP Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 I always believe in the '1 game at a time' notion. It's the best we can do. But looking at the bigger picture for a second, there are 17 games left. That's 51 points. How far are we behind our aim of the play-offs? 7 points. It's not rocket science that the play-offs are still within reach. It's also the reason why I don't understand people say our season is over. Just do the math.
Fox92 Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 I always take one game at a time, but this play off push is something I have said over the past few days. We have got games coming up against clubs, most around the play off area/above us, so if we can get something from these games against teams such as Leeds, Derby, West Ham, Cardiff, Birmingham, Hull, Reading etc (as well as beat teams below us such as Doncaster, Watford, Peterborough etc) then I think we can make the play offs, or push for them at least.

SaltyDog Posted 9 February 2012 Posted 9 February 2012 There is always a chance that we can make the play offs while it is mathmatically possible... currently we are still well within reach... if the season results in the Championship so far have shown us that anything can happen or is possible.. been some strange results, with many upsets along the way... maybe we will finally prove our negative supporters wrong and keep our current form going... For me it seems the team finally have some fight/spirit about them, something we've lacked throughout season so far (prior to NP). Foxes Never Quit... so while it's still possible, lets keep the faith and show that support from the stands by continuing to get behind the boys!
