Reciprocal midweek games

Recommended Posts

Has anyone noticed that all our midweek games against sides are both home and away, apart from the rescheduled ones? Burnley, Watford, Middlesbrough, Bristol City, Blackpool all both home and away on a Wednesday or Tuesday. I'd imagine it's the same for the rest of the league

Apologies for a very boring thread, but it was just an observation.

Same thing happened last season and its wrong. We played Noriwch and Sheff Utd on Tuesdays to name a few and its wrong.

They were fairly local games and especially for Norwich (other than Ipswich) we were there nearest game.

Its wrong how its worked out like this now, hopefullt it gets changed soon.

I was devastated when i saw Blackpool was on a tuesday...Then they moved Southampton and i was pissed...and now they move Derby :( all decent away games ruined

Southampton was most definitely not ruined ;)

Well it was when i finish work at 5 and have no possible way of getting down to southampton short of a tardis and therefore missing a rare away win

I noticed this pretty much on the day the fixtures were out.

I don't understand why it's done, but there you go, there's definitely a reason for it.

Scheduled ones for us; Watford, Burnley, Blackpool, Middlesbrough, Bristol City.

Makes you wonder why to be fair, pissed off Bristol and Blackpool have been spoiled.

Definitely was. I went and it was great, but it was ruined for a lot who'd have gone, I won't hold it against anyone for not going to Southampton on a Monday night.

Don't quote me on this but didn't someone say or maybe I have read it somewhere Blackpool was planned to be a midweek because we were high risk/'troublemakers'. (No joke just because of the Norwich thread/reasoning, I'm sure I read this)

Infact it may have been the case of I said I was hoping Blackpool away was going to be on a bank holiday weekend, or the last weekend of the season or something and someone said it wouldn't have been because we are a list of clubs not allowed too because of trouble. I don't know I may be totally wrong a dreamt all this up :giggle:

I wouldn't be surprised if this was the reason but it always seems to be the most awkward games to get to! SOTON BRISTOL BURNLEY WATFORD I mean come on there all a fair trip away from Leicester and on Valentines day seriously? anyone not going to Norwich has the possibility of not seeing another game until march with Watford on Tuesday and Derby on a Thursday its a joke
