ThurnbyLodgeFox Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 Well last night was appalling, we can't deny that. But I look at it like this: We still have the chance to get into the play-off places. Pearson looks set to name a changed team against Norwich on Saturday. If we go there and come back with a win, our name in the hat for the quarters, it is bound to spark confidence within the camp and this will hopefully go on and help us perform in the league. Beckford only seems to shine in the cup, so let him do his magic on Saturday, get the win and use this as motivation for the rest of the season. We have to play a majority of our play-off rivals before the end of the season, if we nick a few wins there and win the games against opposition below us, then we are in for a real shout. It's football, stranger things have happened. COYB
purpleronnie Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 We'll have a chance IF norwich put out there reserves.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 We'll have a chance IF norwich put out there reserves. Are you going?
Happy Fox Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 We'll have a chance IF norwich put out there reserves. That is the team some of their Fans are going for http://services.pinkun.com/forums/pinkun/cs/forums/2/2680187/ShowPost.aspx#2680187 Steer Martin Ward Barnett Lappin Fox Crofts Johnson Hoolahan Morison Jackson
Milton Keynes Fox Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 Can't wait for Norwich, we're the underdogs in the game (Brighton vs Newcastle, who would have thought Brighton would beat them with the form Newcastle are in?) and if we win, a quarter final place in the FA cup is there for us, this would make up completely for our useless season.
accessory Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 The chance of a playoff place is mathematical only. Last night proved yet again we can't put two league wins together. Too many players have character flaws and these are easy for opposition managers to suss out. It happened against Middlesbrough, at Brighton and again last night. Far too much was made of a win against a Cardiff side whose minds were clearly on Wembley. Norwich are a Premier side with pace and quality throughout their side - features we notoriously lack. Beating us will put them within one game of their first Wembley appearance in 27 years. I doubt they will let the opportunity go to waste.
jonlcfc1990 Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 Another great vibe from this thread totally buzzing for this away game Jesus christ a lot was made at the win against Cardiff? Anyone would think a WMD went off in Watford last night and took half the Countries population It's one loss! we've had a lot of them this season and in all the years i've been supporting i can't believe people still don't know how to handle them.

Newcastle are also a Premiership side, so are Wigan, but teams have beaten them. A result which stands out for me is Norwich 0-4 MK Dons. All be it they played a reserve team, but we are as good as anyone on the day. Perhaps the lose last night could act in a good way, inspiring the players to go on to win. I fully expect a win on Saturday and will back my team until the final whistle.
Legend_in_blue Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 Let's put watford the league season behind us and look at Norwich. Then it will be well and truly finished.
dpjfox Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 im as optomistic as they come but after last night i am struggling to find any positives or reasons to keep hoping, i cant, the best i came up with was: prior to last night we had 16 games to go, i listed the teams and the points i expected us to get, as with the majority obviously did i had us to get 3pts last night as i had some games(ie West Ham h Reading a) to achieve my target of 75pts we now have to win one of those NO MORE SLIP UPS PLEASE COME ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN
Libertine Dream Posted 15 February 2012 Posted 15 February 2012 One thing I did learn last night was that I should go to all away games and not just most of them. Last night th comments were embarassing then this morning a lot of comments are constructive, thought out and a breath of fresh air. These are clearly people who go to the game or calm down so don't post complete drivel. So I need to go to every away game so I refrain from reading the nonsense spouted as a result of what the radio says. I will admit the season is over but we can't just give up!
