LCFC_Bradders Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 What happend to the all new season ticket technology? Where we just swipe the card instead of handing in the voucher things like every othere season?? Just wondering...
savillefoxes Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Which season ticket have you got? no vouchers in mine its like a debit card.
davieG Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 The story circulating was that the company contracted to install it went bust so I assume they just gave up on the idea.
Fox92 Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 What we do at the minute, just hand the card in, is no improvement on what we used to when we used to hand in the booklet. Plus, I recieved two and some people even recieved three card's so generally you could get more people in with your season tickets. Suppose it isn't the clubs fault if the company who were going to install them went bust or whatever.
BrummieFOX Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 Even without the swipe system, just having a small credit card sized ticket is an improvement. Whack it in your wallet and you never forget it.

Kingylcfc Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 it is much better as it is...not having to faff around with bits of paper all the time...just one card...yes its designed to be swiped...but we are in enough debt as it is...not surprised they pulled the plug on the idea

There is a problem with it though, as it stands, you could buy a season ticket at the start of the season, tell them you've lost it two weeks later and order a replacement, and BOOM, you now have two season tickets you can use that are impossible to check if you go to seperate turnstiles. I'm surprised they havnt sorted something out about this by now. I know two people now who have done this and have basically got a season ticket for the price of a replacement, they just sit down in an empty seat every game.
LCFC_Bradders Posted 6 March 2012 Author Posted 6 March 2012 I agree that the card is an improvement on the paper ticket things from last season, just wondering what happend to the machines that were meant to be introduced

Very good point and I'm annoyed I haven't even thought of it. Financial suicide for the club with such high risk fans, we're bound to do it.
stix Posted 6 March 2012 Posted 6 March 2012 The thing that annoys me about the new system, or lack of, is the fact that i now have to take my season ticket to the ticket office in advance if i can not make the game and hand it in to them. Where as before if i couldnt go i still had the stub to show them so i could get a ticket for a different game. If the system was working properly they would know if i went or not. With me working strange hours the previous system suited me alot better.
