A strong Foxes squad will travel to Nene Park on Wednesday night, as a Leicester City XI take on Kettering Town in a fundraising friendly for the Blue Square Bet Premier club.

Andy King, Darius Vassell, John Pantsil and Matt Mills are among the senior professionals that will make the trip to Irthlingborough, along with some of the Club's young professionals and current Under-18 starlets.

Arranged by the Kettering Town Supporters' Trust, the fixture will be an opportunity for the Foxes and their fans to show their support for a local club currently experiencing financial difficulties. The involvement of King and Vassell in Steve Beaglehole's squad is a particular boost for the Foxes, both players having been sidelined through injury of late.

King has been missing since sustaining a foot injury in late-January and was an unused substitute in the first team's goalless draw with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday. Former England striker Vassell has been out since undergoing knee surgery in October.

To be fair King has been missing since Jan 2011 as he hasnt had a decent game since then!

i doubt that many due to it being sandwiched in between two games. pre season was a pretty good turn out but i doubt anywhere near that. could be wrong though.
