Libertine Dream Posted 21 March 2012 Posted 21 March 2012 we didn't lose...ha,ha.. Feels like it mate, but yea I sort of missed that minor detail
brockmyster Posted 21 March 2012 Author Posted 21 March 2012 Someone put this somewhere; 'With mills win 40% loose 24% draw 36%. without win 33.33% loose 50% draw 16.66%...... stats speak for themselves.'
Libertine Dream Posted 21 March 2012 Posted 21 March 2012 Someone put this somewhere; 'With mills win 40% loose 24% draw 36%. without win 33.33% loose 50% draw 16.66%...... stats speak for themselves.' Stats can be conformed to suit whatever you want them to suit, in the end a game is won on who scores the most and promotion is gained by whoever finishes with the most points, no matter the personnel
Kitchandro Posted 21 March 2012 Posted 21 March 2012 Kevin Phillips has scored more than Beckford and Nugent this season, he is a very good player at this level, of course if we made no mistakes ever in any game we would win them all, but we don't, no team in the championship does. And I agree as a collective the players have to take responsibility it is this ridiculous scape-goating that goes on on here that drives me up the wall, today Young said he wanted to give man of the match to the whole team (admittedly this was before the equaliser) but it sounds like we were playing well as a unit and I think NP's subs might have upset the balance of the team or Phillips just used his experience and ability to find the space and take his chance. I agree with the scapegoating thing, don't like it either. What I'm saying is; it is our fault because if we were good enough we wouldn't let him score. We certainly shouldn't be conceding 3 and letting Bednar score if we want to be a top team at this level. We know we're not good enough but it's not really acceptable to be as bad as we are. Phillips is no world beater, he's just a very good goalscorer at this level who we haven't dealt with, because we haven't played well enough.
Kitchandro Posted 21 March 2012 Posted 21 March 2012 Someone put this somewhere; 'With mills win 40% loose 24% draw 36%. without win 33.33% loose 50% draw 16.66%...... stats speak for themselves.' So what you're saying is one man makes a team?
NeilyBoy Posted 21 March 2012 Posted 21 March 2012 Someone put this somewhere; 'With mills win 40% loose 24% draw 36%. without win 33.33% loose 50% draw 16.66%...... stats speak for themselves.' The stats of a man who thinks lose has two o's in it. Literacy speaks for itself.
paddy Agyemang Posted 21 March 2012 Posted 21 March 2012 Rid of Mills - waste of money Bamba - for right price Peltier - not good enough Gallagher - say no more Moussa - off the wage bill Wellens - we int getting promoted with him in the side King - for the right price In Nathaniel Clyne Alex Pearce Anthony gerrard Whitingham Faith in ( keep ) Schlupp Hopper Beckford Liam Moore Waghorn No point spending money let's have faith in our youth and bring Liam Moore into the starting line up, now our season is over and put hopper on the bench
brockmyster Posted 21 March 2012 Author Posted 21 March 2012 Aha some people on here make me laugh picking apart grammar. Not saying one man makes a team but he certainly helps whenever he doesn't play the defence is a whole lot less organised whether u like it or not he has an effect on the others around him. I sometimes question his methods of leading but seems they work

I sometimes question his methods of leading but seems they work Not whether I like it or not, I don't like it because it's not true. He's been all over the place, as has our defence in plenty of games in which he's played in. He's played in more games than he hasn't so the percentage thing is misleading anyway. Do your stats take into account what teams we played against, what players we played against, what players we didn't play against (for example when Southampton were missing Lambert and Lallana), which other players did and didn't play for us, what formation we played, what formation they played, how many goals we conceded in particular matches, how many goals we conceded where he was specifically to blame, matches he didn't play in because he was suspended for being a twat? Does that last one not count against him? His methods of leading DON'T work, they get him sent off and 'lead' him to fall out with the manager and his teammates. He's a disruptive influence on the squad.
Captain... Posted 21 March 2012 Posted 21 March 2012 Someone put this somewhere; 'With mills win 40% loose 24% draw 36%. without win 33.33% loose 50% draw 16.66%...... stats speak for themselves.' I was going to reply to this with reasoned response to why these statistics are misleading, but you put loose you fvcking moron, it is on every fvcking table, in every match report, if you can't even grasp the most basic of spelling then how can I expect you to understand something complex like statistics, now fvck off and learn how to fvcking cvnt shit arse twaaat!!!wejhgliwuregfwliefwl;
brockmyster Posted 21 March 2012 Author Posted 21 March 2012 Your saying mills is all over the place have you seen our defence at the moment? He's sat here on a reportedly redicolous wage may aswell use him for gods sake. He does get sent off yes but so do others its an indiscipline within the whole squad not one man. You don't lose the ability he has which he displayed at reading and he's shown in bits that he has it there but it doesn't really help when you have all the pressure from a stupid price tag and the fans are just waiting to jump on your back.
brockmyster Posted 21 March 2012 Author Posted 21 March 2012 Captain, your calling me a moron yet if you read what I put I clearly said somebody put this somewhere, which I think pretty much explains that I didn't write it I just copied it, nice to see you have a resonable argue and don't just get childish though.

Nothing personal just sick of all the ****** on here, and copying and pasting someone elses made up statistics and spelling mistakes makes you just as bad. MOFUEKJTUJEETUJ!!!!

He's a disruptive influence on the squad. You're letting bitterness and prejudice cloud your vision. First sending off - mistimed a challenge by milliseconds. Others did the same in that game without punishment but he was singled out for the ultimate sanction. Second sending off - ref deemed a challenge a professional foul when the ball was already in Schmeichel's arms. It was the ref who was the "twat" not Mills. I'd rather have defenders prepared to make tackles than those who fear collecting cards. I also remember him keeping Kevin Phillips quiet when Blackpool played at the Way. It's a shame that those who played last night were unable to do likewise.

I merely pointed out the poor spelling (not grammar) to highlight that it's not so surprising, given the poor quality of statistical evidence, that whoever came out with those stats in the first place may not be the world's brightest intellect.
