Matt Posted 9 July 2005 Posted 9 July 2005 Just heard on the news Birmingham city has been shut off by police because they have recieved a threat, that is all i've heard nothing else just that I looked on newsnow and its not making the story much clearer just that there has been an evacuation, nothing has gone off yet if anything will go off at all but I think the police have just shut it off to be on the safe side!

Leicester_Mad Posted 9 July 2005 Posted 9 July 2005 just read through this thread and no wonder there is so much panic if you listen to rumours....terrible tragedy what happened but there was no building collapsing, hundreds havent been confirmed dead and there hasnt been another attack yet. Dont let rumours ruin your life because if you listen to what everyone is saying then you can end up not going out your house due to the threat of being killed. I personally dont think it is the end of it though because they werent trying to kill loads of people - they were just trying to cause panic and i just wonder if this was a test run. Hope i am wrong though. I no this is a bit hypocritical of the first part of my post but apparently the Suicide Bomber on the bus was the person released from Guantanamo Bay just a few months earlier....
