Salieri Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 More info here: http://en-gb.lionbri...3&LangType=2057 I'm technically classed as self-employed. I simply log-on to their web portal and acquire tasks to complete whenever I want to. EDIT: You keep track of the time you spend working and fill in the time sheet at the end of the month. There are expectations to meet in terms of tasks/time, but these aren't difficult to meet. I've not had a single problem and had about £2000 transfered into my bank over the past 3 months. Looks quite interesting, I could do with earning a few extra quid in my spare time so have submitted an application. Shame that by the looks of it, it is only really viable as a part time option.
Parafox Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Unfortunately Nightguard, I agree with Jon, above. Having read through your posts on this, I get the feeling you are being gullible out of desperation. Any type of selling like this and Betterware etc gets only feeble financial returns for individuals. I have done a similar thing years ago when I was out of work and I had to sell cheap insurance. I had a 3 day course in London to be "brainwashed" I had to pay my own fare and 50% of the B and B accomodation costs. I was strapped for cash (obviously) so the rep offered to lend me some money to be repaid by my first "commission". I think I still owe them 30 years later as I never made a penny for myself. I could only bear it for about 4 weeks as it was obvious that I was just a flunky. The guys that make the money are the ones that have the big teams from whom they cream off a percentage of their teams sales commission. The rep who "trained" us had been doing it for 15 or so years and he made a reasonable living (or so he said) without a lot of selling because he had dumb-asses like me doing his sales for him. The further up the pyramid you are, the more money you can make. The real income comes from recruiting others to your team and having them stay with you. It will take a lot of effort to recruit and retain a sizeable team to provide you with anything like a decent income because most people would only do this on a very short-term basis.
HEGGSY Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 You. ****ing. What? How the fudge are you doing that?<br /> I work in a bar Friday,Saturday,Sunday. I do everything except serve as my age restricts me and I get around £120 a week, 120 x 4 = £460. I work 5 hrs on Friday and Sunday and 6/7 on Saturday. So its a fair few hours over the weekend but it doesn't bother me.
Rincewind Posted 12 May 2012 Author Posted 12 May 2012 Think you are right Parafox. This don was complaining about those that did little and those that were only in for the short term in between jobs. He was saying he couldnt understand why they'd want a full time job when there is easy money to be made. I think we have the reason. I shall just tell him I can't guarantee I'll be there for a long time then he'll dump me. I did ask whether money can be made on the lower level and he said I would need to deliver 250 plus a week. I think they expect you to recruit people after doing it a while. That is what all the events and training courses are for. I was trying to convince him that I wasn't a salesman. Unfortunately I was out the trap and put my self in again because I contacted him. I wanted to know what the free option was and I never liked the way he brushed me off as a no hoper. I shall have to make him think that again to get rid of him. I have had the downloads he sent me a few days. I have had time to go over them and take it all in. If he phones I wont answer. Maybe send a short email. Sorry I'm out. Right I am out know. Mid term launch meeting of the book launch of the book about South Highfields. I may be featured in an interview and a couple of poems.

No you won't. Just tell him to piss off and stop badgering you.

I work 5 hrs on Friday and Sunday and 6/7 on Saturday. So its a fair few hours over the weekend but it doesn't bother me. So if you're working about 17 hours a week and getting paid £120 that means you're on roughly 7 quid an hour - I'm 20 and work in a Wetherspoon pub, and even my supervisors don't earn that much per hour!
HEGGSY Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 Some weeks it can be less than £120, the other week I got £105, I'm still not quite sure where the extra money comes from, but I'm not complaining
HEGGSY Posted 12 May 2012 Posted 12 May 2012 My actual hourly rate is 5.90, so that's roughly £100, so I think the other money comes from tips. The tips are good, due to a combination of it always being busy over the weekend and the fact they only employ 5 people.
Rincewind Posted 12 May 2012 Author Posted 12 May 2012 No you won't. Just tell him to piss off and stop badgering you. Added to reject list on my mobile. Not used that feature before so not sure what will happen. Just hope he gets the message. Shall have to look up his landline make sure that is added.
