Webbo Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 Did Lineker win it with Everton? Or what about when he went to Barca? I'm pretty sure Lineker has never won a league, unless he did in Japan, as a player and he's never been a manager.
Guest Col city fan Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 Only fookin just!! What a game that was yesterday!! Football is such a fine line.. I think Mancini knew he was very near to being out of a job... Having spent a trillion quid and winning nothing wouldn't have done I don't suspect. You could see it on his face the last ten mins. He was panicking!
GamlaEnskede Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 And there's a solid SGE connection too, of course; RM being his key player and assistant coach at Lazio, later continuing his work as manager at City.

evs_the_fox Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 True but really a silly thing to post because the only people to have won the premier league are Ferguson, Kenny Dalglish, Wenger, Mourinho. And Ancelotti
flowwolf Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 And Ancelotti Good call.
MPH Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 True but really a silly thing to post because the only people to have won the premier league are Ferguson, Kenny Dalglish, Wenger, Mourinho. Only a former Liverpool and former Leicester player have therefore won the premier league as managers! and the blackburn manager whoever that was when they won it....
Webbo Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 and the blackburn manager whoever that was when they won it.... Kenny Dalglish.
Voll Blau Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 In that case this stat is meaningless Correct. Unless you're a complete moron who doesn't realise football existed before 1992.
flowwolf Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Correct. Unless you're a complete moron who doesn't realise football existed before 1992. Is there such a thing as an incomplete moron ?
FoxyPV Posted 17 May 2012 Posted 17 May 2012 Can't remember where I saw this but.. English Premiership winner: Man City / Mancini: Ex Leicester Scottish Premiership winner: Celtic / Lennon: Ex Leicester League 1 winner: Charlton / Powell: Ex Leicester We are a breeding ground for success! Unfortunately, it seems, we can't keep the success for ourselves.
