1964FOX Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 The Tigers have announced they will be getting an allocation of 7,550 tickets for the upcoming final in a neutral ground that holds 82,000. Norwich gave us too few but at least they were restricting them to allow their own fans more room. Why the hell are twickenham restricting them so much? It may be an initial allocation but I find it very strange. The tickets are available to anyone on line as well so that makes it even more bizarre so someone who has never been or has nothing to do with either team can get them easily.
Finnegan Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 Do their season ticket holders get offered some from a separate allocation though?
The Doctor Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 I think they've been on sale for quite a while to just the general public - I know my Grandma and one of my Uncles have had tickets for the final since at least the start of April. I'd assume this is just what's left been split between the two clubs.
1964FOX Posted 14 May 2012 Author Posted 14 May 2012 Do their season ticket holders get offered some from a separate allocation though? No the allocation goes on sale today and tomorrow for season ticket holders and members. General sale from wednesday, I can only assume most have gambled and bought them early on line but a very strange system.
Darkon84 Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 I got mine when they first came out, back in March I think. They have been on general sale to anyone for ages now. So many people gamble on their team making it there, it makes a good day out and a good laugh with other supporters though. I think the 7550 you quoted is just the first lot of season ticket holders/members allocation, with more to follow.
Rincewind Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 Rugby is more of a neutral sport though isn't it? Do the rugby grounds hold the same as football? The Tigers have a big followering but wouldn't the other teams would have the same fan base. No use allocating 40000 for 20000 or less fans. With gambling what final is it? If its the playoff one I would say there are half a dozen favourites to get to the final and the rest would just have a few thousand hard core fans so there is probably enough tickets to go round.

Rincewind Posted 14 May 2012 Posted 14 May 2012 I suppose it's like the Super Bowl. The tickets for that are booked years in advance. It's one of the once in a lifetime things all Americans do. Well the ones that can afford the price of the ticket.
rico Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Got 4 tickets Saturday night for a mate as soon as final whistle went
