Soar Fox Posted 8 June 2012 Posted 8 June 2012 How many threads do you moan about beckford in? At least your consistent I suppose (unlike beckford) It's quite embarrassing to be honest. The amount of threads he goes on about Beckford. I've always wondered by his username if he's really a Cov City Fan.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 It's quite embarrassing to be honest. The amount of threads he goes on about Beckford. I've always wondered by his username if he's really a Cov City Fan. I'm not embarrassed at all!! But calling me a Cov fan is Disgustin! I simply feel the two biggest let downs of last season were the two alleged highest earners... Mills and Beckford. I'll continue to post along such lines until I see differently and accept any criticism of such that comes my way. However, I'm far from the only one to think this of these two players and if you read back through this thread you'll see it started as my defence of Matt Fryatt... Typically it's others that kick off the Beckford stuff. Having seen Leicester play for donkeys ages I can usually, though not always, judge the players who are gonna be good for the team and those that aren't. My first post on here was pointing out how many peeps have put Hobbs and Fryatt into their best eleven since relegation. I couldn't agree more... Not one has put Mills or Beckford in as far as I can see? Finally, I'll always try to back my points up with a cogent argument. If you think I'm wrong over any player I mention then feel free to make a good argument back... You wanna debate it, debate it.... Cos I'm happy to.
Fox92 Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 I would not suggest attempting to start a debate/argument with Col City Fan! He know's his stuff, and I seem to agree with the majority of his posts.

Fox92 Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Its a forum. You can debate with whoever you like, surely? Yes, I was joking. All I meant was his post's are usually spot on.
foxfanazer Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Yes, I was joking. All I meant was his post's are usually spot on. Yeah he is to be fair
wolfgang amadeus Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Not putting Yakubu in is a crime, the most natural finisher I've seen at Leicester. (Without Loanees) Kasper Schmeichel Paul Konchesky Patrick Kisnorbo Jack Hobbs Richard Stearman Richie Wellens Andy King Yuki Abe David Nugent David Connolly Matty Fryatt maybe...really struggling to think of good midfielders we've had in the last few years.
lanxfox Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 How can you put any goalkeeper ahead of Kasper? He's the best goalkeeper we've had for about 10-15 years, not to mention he's the best keeper in the league. We'll be lucky to keep hold of him after next season IMO.

I think he is a good shotstopper, but his distribution and ability to take crosses is questionable. He isn't the best goalkeeper in the league either, in my opinion, considering Speroni, Marshall and now the likes of Robinson, all play at this level. He is 25 years old. If he was as good as what people make out, he would be at the top level by now, in my opinion, instead of playing in League One and then the Championship for the last few seasons.
Father Ted Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Schmeichel Naughton - Vitor - Hobbs - Konchesky Marshall - Davies - Gudjonnson - Ryan Smith Yakubu - Fryatt
SemperEadem Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 Fulop in the time he was with us was better than Schmeichel just I reckon.
wolfgang amadeus Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 I thought Fulop was amazing at us, felt bad watching his game at the end of last season where he had an absolute nightmare.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 I thought Fulop was amazing at us, felt bad watching his game at the end of last season where he had an absolute nightmare. Same here.... And he REALLY did have a stinker! I don't think he was better for us than Kasper though to be fair. I think Kasper has the potential to be a very very good keeper.
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 9 June 2012 Posted 9 June 2012 When I do things like this I always let me heart have it's say with my head - so this team isn't solely quality, it's also how much they put it to playing for the club: Walker Naughton Hobbs Stearman (cheating, as he featured more at right back, but we've had a depressing run of centre halves) Berner Marshall (depressingly the only person who invokes a positive feeling when I think of our right flank) Gudjonsson King Dyer Fryatt Howard Subs: Weale (don't forget the 18months he was a solid and loyal 'keeper for us) Bamba (like I said, short of centre halves) Wellens Mark Davies (depressing putting a short-term loanee) Hume I'm going to go and hang myself. That's nearly a decade worth of travelling round the country like a bloody idiot watching over paid and overrated shite. This lot I don't mind so much, but when you think of Rab Douglas, Nikos Dabizas, Paddy McCarthy, Gareth McAuley, Alan Maybury, Patrick Gerrbrand, Elvis Hammond, Barry Hayles, Lilian Nalis, Wayne Brown, Chris Makin, Mark de Vries and so many others it turns your stomach.
