RowlattsFox Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 I had to move away from Leicester for my job, and I thought I'd hate not going to the home games but to be honest I don't miss it as much as I thought I would. I suppose after 18 years it may feel a bit different. I don't work Saturdays though so can go back whenever I want to get to the odd match, which I am happy with. The only problem will come if we ever get half decent and tickets come harder to come by. You have to take the job though, as much as you'd rather not.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 What Oz Leicester said. How many matches are Sat 3pm kick offs now? Maybe less than half.
Guest Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 There's thousands of people out of work that would kill for a job, any job at the minute. I'd say take it.... Is that a follow up to empty's mercenary post?
carlhltid Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 you got about 6 weeks to get another job pal start looking
FoxesAreBlue Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 Last season I think it was 13/23 games were not on sat 3pm (I think). I've had to give my ticket up also this season because of work but football is a luxury (and sometimes a pretty crap one at that) and there will be plenty of seasons in the future to come back to.
Captain... Posted 1 July 2012 Posted 1 July 2012 Tell the job that you have already splashed out on a season ticket, but you really want the job and ask them if it is possible to maybe switch a few Saturdays or finish a bit early and make up the time, it depends on what the job is and how easy it is to get someone to cover, if it is a case of if you can get someone to cover you can have time off then it really shouldn't be a problem. Just be honest with them, tell them your situation, and if they say I'm sorry but the only way you are getting the job is if you guarantee you will work every Saturday, then maybe you shouldn't work for them, most employers are flexible and understand that people have commitments especially on weekends, and as long as you are honest with them, then they will not have a problem. Find a back up to take your season ticket though, because sometimes you might not be able to get cover.
