If he just said, "RIP to the victims of 7/7" or "Let us never forget the vicitms of this terrorist attack" then it would remain innocent. To say "no surrender" automatically raises connotations of active military conflict, and that these victims were military personnel. To name them, or have them alluded to, in military terms politicises their deaths as it makes them collateral damage in a supposed "War on Terror", which they may or may not have agreed with or even believed in.

I know that might not sit right with the lefties - who presumably believe that we should let anyone who isn't white do anything they want because, you know, racism, freedom, etc and i'm sure they'll like us if we offer them a cuppa anyway (sustainably sourced of course) and maybe we should buy them ipads so we can all link up and share content over a starbucks - but it's a perfectly reasonable statement.

It's no more banal and inconsequential than pretty much everything that has ever been written on this forum. The softies are only getting upset over this particular comment because it hints at aggression against those poor innocent islamic extremists who act like they want to kill us and sometimes do kill us but we shouldn't be aggressive towards them because they're just little hard done by people and what they really need is a good cuddle and then everything will be ok.

The ending to this is just horrible - The bombers were Muslim extremists - not was. Now, on to the slight remnants of a point - the article you linked went on and on about Islamic terrorists, like your average EDL mouth-breather, why are they not mentioning the EDL's key findings of ray guns?
