Nick Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 No surrender is a moronic comment, particularly in this context Which sums up my point. It's not about memorial with Stu, again it's about war and hate.
Nick Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 No surrender? Really? Sigh. I can't even be bothered. I know.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 July 2012 Author Posted 7 July 2012 Which sums up my point. It's not about memorial with Stu, again it's about war and hate. Yes you know me so well. Despite doing my best not to shed a tear or two during the documentary on BBC this week. I shouldn't bite really, though you don't know the first thing about me. Raising money to get the d day vets over to normandy for the 65th anniversary of d day. Visiting the war graves instead of spending that money on a lads holiday or whatever.
sphericalfox Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 Yes you know me so well. Despite doing my best not to shed a tear or two during the documentary on BBC this week Hovering over your profile name "Bored as **** today. Gonna watch The Longest Day again." I daren't ask the question how many times you have watched this particular genre movie, but I will, as I am interested how you can say your not a teeny-weeny bit obsessive on the topic of war.

I daren't ask the question how many times you have watched this particular genre movie, but I will, as I am interested how you can say your not a teeny-weeny bit obsessive on the topic of war. That was the second time id ever seen the film. The first time was with the missis nattering away in my ear! Never denied having an interest in the war, from a soldiers perspective to churchills perspective. Theres nothing wrong with that at all. Not too sure why I need to explain to others an interest of mine, or the huge respect and gratitude I have for that generation. I could of course be the complete opposite like a lot of chavs around, and opt for mugging them instead of respecting them. I suspect though that I'd be got at for doing that too
Nick Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 Can't some people just keep their mouths shut ffs? He said "No Surrender". So what? No surprise it's Nick as usual, he's have a moan at something at his own mothers funeral. RIP to all those who perished, I didn't know anyone personally but I worked with a guy who lost a relative and he still struggles with it today, a senseless tragedy committed by those who have no business being in a liberal Western way of life. If you need it explaining to you Matt then it's just a reflection of your continuing ignorance posting strong views in topics you know sweet f a about in any evidential depth of knowledge, understanding or life experience. If you were at my mothers funeral, you'll have noticed too what a shambles it was. It's subjective but I say that there should be a written procedure when it comes to who is responsible for fastening down the lid. I'd kindly ask you not to raise this again. If this was another RIP thread then..... Okay, whatever but it's not is it. I shouldn't need to state that I have every sympathy with those people who were affected by 7/7 and do not condone terrorism (but I feel I should in order to avoid the wrath of any deeper ignorance) however a wider understanding of maybe why these events occur may be helpful to some who post with blind righteousness and conviction.

I shouldn't bite really, though you don't know the first thing about me. Raising money to get the d day vets over to normandy for the 65th anniversary of d day. Rincewind Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 There were a couple of items in the Sue Ryder shop I was pricing up that would interest some of you. One was some World war one theme by a marching band and a tribute to Winston Churcill by someone called Henry Bliss? On 45rpm a barging at £1.95 each.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 July 2012 Author Posted 7 July 2012 I rest my case. F me you're accusing someone of being obsessed by something based on a few comments. I do wonder what some people have to do really! Are all the people who donated equally obsessed? How the fuk is someone ever going to learn about the facts of what happened without watching factually correct films such as the longest day? I'd imagine youve seen that film more times than I have, but because I chose to put it as my Facebook status im obsessed! I understand reading that status it could be interpreted as me watching it with some popcorn whilst dresses as rambo, but anyone who actually knows me and is warranted to make a judgement on me knows thats not the case.
Nick Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 A few comments? How about this one then which clearly demonstrates how I don't know you and that you don't have a massive hard on for war:
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 July 2012 Author Posted 7 July 2012 Whys that demonstrate anything? Damn right its good seeing our enemies blown to bits like that. So what? Gotta go now, im off paintballing
purpleronnie Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 Its a shame that a thread about a terrible tradegy has to again turn into a thread of accusations and petty remarks. There was no need for the no surrender comment, just a thread to remember those killed or injured but that seems to difficult for some.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 July 2012 Author Posted 7 July 2012 Congratulations on ruining another thread by the way
sphericalfox Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 Whys that demonstrate anything? Damn right its good seeing our enemies blown to bits like that. So what? Gotta go now, im off paintballing Best take off your blinkers otherwise you'll be back at base making the tea.
Nick Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 Yep, that illustrates my point exactly just read what others have written about your deeply ignorant comments. I don't really need to say any more. Lest we forget
ADK Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 I thought we had already surrendered alot of our civil liberty out of fear of terrorism.

Yeah, sorry we could have had another 100 pages of people posting 'RIP' and had the OP simply stated that it might have been left. Ah well.
Rincewind Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 Should the day not be about trying to lfind ways of not letting things like this happen again instyead of being full of hate?
ADK Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 The shocking part of the 7/7 bombings for me was the revelation that there were people born and raised in the UK who were prepared to carry out terror attacks against their own countrymen.

Best take off your blinkers otherwise you'll be back at base making the tea. I do have my uses! Im leaving it now Nick, not because I feel I've been outdone nor have your attempts to embarass me using previous posts worked. I'll always stand by what I've said. Surely it can't be hard to get your head round that other people think differently to you.
Rincewind Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 Yes and it happens in other countries too. In some countries it is the army that is responsible on behalfof the ountry's leader.
1884Fox Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 My birthday today and my mums is September 11th. Weird. RIP. Really doesn't seem like 7 years. ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY
accessory Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 The shocking part of the 7/7 bombings for me was the revelation that there were people born and raised in the UK who were prepared to carry out terror attacks against their own countrymen. Like it had never happened before, of course... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/6411811.stm
Saxondale Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 Like it had never happened before, of course... http://news.bbc.co.u...don/6411811.stm So if something's happened before it ceases to be shocking?
ADK Posted 7 July 2012 Posted 7 July 2012 Like it had never happened before, of course... http://news.bbc.co.u...don/6411811.stm That guy was mentally ill though.
