FootballLad Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Well firstly i will introduce myself. I am setting up a website dedicated to the Football League and we are starting a project called FL72, where we aim to promote every football club within the football league. Anyway i have just done an article on yourself and i thought i would ask your opinions. http://www.football-lad.com/leicester-city-the-signings-so-far/ Firstly as a Hull City fan i am very aware of the way Nigel deals within the transfer market, and i think its a method that works brilliantly. I think the whole team he has around him helps to, as his attention is often elsewhere yet he can rely on the likes of Steve Walsh. Personally i am impressed that NP hasn't just spent a fortune, but brought in players to build a squad and i think thats key. Anyway just wanted your opinions on the article do you agree? If link's arent allowed feel free to delete. When we produce the download to go with the FL72 project, you will be our recommended Leicester site!
Corky Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Dull City fans ain't welcome here m8. Neither is text speak.
Simmo86 Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Decent read. As others have pointed out Mills didn't cost 5 million, think we paid around 3 with the rest made up with addons
Jaspa Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 Poor Grammar But on the first reply from Schlupp, anyone is welcome here who isn't abusive and is capable of conversation; doesn't matter who they support really. I think this rivalry with Hull might be quite good whilst it lasts
FootballLad Posted 26 July 2012 Author Posted 26 July 2012 Poor Grammar But on the first reply from Schlupp, anyone is welcome here who isn't abusive and is capable of conversation; doesn't matter who they support really. I think this rivalry with Hull might be quite good whilst it lasts To be fair it was quite fun reading how easily some of my fellow Hull fans got wound up I wished Nigel good luck, was a good manager for us. Also i will improve my grammar lads, but thanks for the comments! So who would you guys say is your youngster to watch for the next season?
Mark_w Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 So who would you guys say is your youngster to watch for the next season? Martyn Waghorn. They'll all deny it, but don't listen. Cameron Stewart might do a decent job for us next year as well.
Schlupp Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 So who would you guys say is your youngster to watch for the next season? Schlupp if he gets the time on the pitch.
rico Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 They had Waghorn on loan so i think they will know all about him !
Mark_w Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 They had Waghorn on loan so i think they will know all about him ! Thought he got injured after like 2 games?
Schlupp Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 They had Waghorn on loan so i think they will know all about him ! Yeah but he got injured early on didn't he?
rico Posted 26 July 2012 Posted 26 July 2012 he was scoring for England when he was with them,so not sure how much they saw of him
FootballLad Posted 26 July 2012 Author Posted 26 July 2012 Not much at all, looked a talent and showed glimpses of the talent he had. However unfortunately he was injured for a fair bit of time during his spell with us, was unfortunate i thought we would of really added something to your side. I think he could do a job for you, but he seems the type that needs regular football.
Leicester_Numan Posted 27 July 2012 Posted 27 July 2012 Our youngsters to watch will more than likely be playing on loan at other clubs this season. Good crop coming through but are unlikely to get much more than a few substitute appearances here and there. The likes of Schlupp, Hopper and Panayiotou will have to force their way past a lot of strikers to feature and I can't see that happening. The youngsters to watch in our team will have been bought in like Marshall & James

Is promotion worth not giving your youngsters game time? More often than not it is.
