Talking About Football

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I've recently started up a football blog/website that essentially has one simple aim; to provide football fans with a platform to write about their club (or any football matter that they want to really). Fans can write about whatever takes their fancy, but cannot be personal attacks on players/clubs, contain swearing or offensive language or be written just to cause trouble. Any post would have to be submitted for review before being published as a way of preventing any of the aforementioned being included. It is though essentially for fun, hence the freedom of topics. Fun yes, but we also want to be as good as we can. A good understanding of language and grammar is key, as is spelling for that matter. Anywho, I'll attempt to stop rambling on now and get to the point. I'm basically wondering if any of you guys on here would be interested in writing for us at any point over the season? Doesn't have to be Leicester related and can be as often as you like/have time for. If writing is something that interests you then please do get in touch. It's something I've really started to get into (and want to pursue as a career, either football or Formula 1) and is a great way of getting your work out there.

This is the blog (I'm aware it looks a little bare at the moment, but it's only been set up for a week): http://talkingaboutf....wordpress.com/

I've been a fan of LCFC since the mid 90's (aged 5/6) and have experienced both the good and bad over these 15-16 years I've been following the club. My first article on there is a season preview which can be found here:

It'd be great to hear back from fellow fans on the issues and points raised in the article above. And I'll stop plugging myself now. Hopefully you like what you see/read and please, if you're interested, do get in touch with me on here or on Twitter @paul_godley21

Cheers, and here's to a great season for all.

How can you have been a city fan since the 90s if you're only aged 5/6?

Sorry, all the best with your site, I think it looks very professional, just need a few other teams contribution in there. Maybe PM some of our regular visitors from of clubs like Redhux (Forest) or Lamby (Charlton) and they might be able to help out... or that nice bloke from Hull... no wait...

That's the one; born in '91. Cheers for the suggestions though, hopefully I'll find some fans of other clubs soon. Most people I know up here support Huddersfield (along with the usual United and Liverpool fans) so it's been tricky initially finding people.

Richard, would you be interested in writing a few articles over the course of the season? You can write as often or little as you want and can cover any football topic you want. If this interests you then get in touch. Cheers

And if anyone knows any fans of other Championship, League One or League Two clubs that would be interested in writing for us, then please do get in touch! Would be great to hear any feedback on the Leicester article too. Thanks guys, roll on Saturday!

Sorry only just saw this last night. I've followed you back with both accounts, so if there's anything you fancy writing about then contact me through either of those. Pleasing start to the season on Saturday; particularly impressed with Vardy and Moore. Here's to another victory tomorrow night

Considered, but will probably choose not to. I'm looking at going into sports journalism (preferably Formula 1) and set up the football blog as a way to write about football issues I fancied talking about and to also help a few mates out. It's a good suggestion, but I'd rather write than just re-report or link to others.

Regarding 'itsroundandwhite'; I've actually answered some questions about LCFC for them very recently, so it should be knocking around on there somewhere
