because Konchesky's form has been absolute shite this season and Schlupp is our only other option, if Kennedy were still here people would be saying play him instead

Konchesky has been utter turd for 6 games out of 7 & average in the other one.

Schlupp could offer meaningful Naughton style energy up & down the left side.

I thought Konchesky was a lot better on Wednesday night. Anyone see when he outpaced Dyer late in the second half?

I have to admit I'm more excited by Schlupp as a left back than as a striker. He's not developed as we all hoped up front and Konchesky will need replacing in the near future in my opinion.

if he'd played more then 10 games up there then fair enough but he hasn't

He is so over rated I dread to think what money he is on. Maybe someone can enlighten me.

Gets outpaced too many times and has been awful this season, Schlupp looks alright at LB, but we need to loan one a.s.a.p.

The lack of replies to the topic does suggest it is hardly an obsession but I for one would like to see Schlupp at left back at some stage this season, at least to have a better look at him there. I don't see why people find the idea strange.
