5waller5 Posted 28 November 2012 Posted 28 November 2012 I do think that the next game is the perfect opportunity to play Konch at LB and give Schlupp a go up front. We clearly need a change up front and Schlupp has earned his place in the side, as has Konch before his injury.
Mark_w Posted 28 November 2012 Posted 28 November 2012 Up until last night it was a close call between the two .... but I have seen enough of Waghorn (blazes over) to know that he's not good enough..... i haven't seen enough of Vardy to make that decision. Waghorn's played nowhere near as much football this season, played barely any football last season and before that you've got one good season and one bad season to go on. Doesn't seem you're being all that fair.

I think the club, NP and fans in general have given Waggy loads more time than most get in the hope that his effort and being a nice bloke turn into him being good enough. I just don't think I am being unfair on him. He's had a great crack of the whip and failed.

I'm not proving anything here - was just interested to compare ..... Waghorn scored once, Vardy 4 times. Neither is good enough. 13 appearances against 17 ..... if Waggy scores 3 in 4 games he's as good as Vardy (can you see that happening??) Just shows how poor our options are up-front.

Do you honestly not see the difference between a start and an appearance off the bench...?
5waller5 Posted 28 November 2012 Posted 28 November 2012 Do you honestly not see the difference between a start and an appearance off the bench...? Yes one means the manager thinks you're good enough the other that he's desperate.
5waller5 Posted 28 November 2012 Posted 28 November 2012 I was actually just interested in the stats Mark .... not trying to prove anything with them .... they are both shocking returns ..... Waghorn 8 starts and 5 sub appearances and has scored once all season against woeful opposition in a 6-0. That's it. It's just not worth arguing about - he's awful - his record is speaking for itself.
