StanSP Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 When was this offer valid? I just tried to buy something and it's still got postage costs on it (no option for free postage, either)...
BMR Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 When was this offer valid? I just tried to buy something and it's still got postage costs on it (no option for free postage, either)... Did your basket total over 20 quid cuz if not its not free delivery.
StanSP Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 EDIT/UPDATE - Just spoke on the phone to the club/LCFCDirect now - it was an offer that was originally introduced just before Christmas. The guy had to speak to the fanstore just to make sure the offer is going ahead. It is, but they haven't got the system set up yet to allow free postage . So he said wait about an hour before going ahead with the order.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 nothing is ever straight forward at our club. On or off the pitch
Guest MattP Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 I don't think I've ever seen a company have it's business ran so poorly, fcuking hopeless behind the scenes at our place.
davieG Posted 23 January 2013 Author Posted 23 January 2013 ...and it's been like that for as long as I can remember and that's a long time. I think it reflects on their lazy, complacent attitude to fans who they know will continue to go to games or at least wont stop as a result of shoddy customer service.
Lobsterboyuk Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 Reading the book "Soccernomics" at the moment. Even Real Madrid is only equivalent to the 132nd largest business in Finland. We get a tinpot service because the club as a business is tinpot sized and can only attract mediocre staff at best.

The attitude seems to be that we'll keep on turning up and spending whatever happens. If it was a customer rather than fan relationship they would be in trouble.
rico Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 I don't think I've ever seen a company have it's business ran so poorly, fcuking hopeless behind the scenes at our place. We could give the BBC a run for its money with our mismanagement
The Year Of The Fox Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 We could give the BBC a run for its money with our mismanagement We're not as bad as them. We've never employed a paedo
Foxes_Trust Posted 23 January 2013 Posted 23 January 2013 Website wise, along with many other clubs, they are tied into a long contract with stiff financial penalties if they try to quit the contract early. The club knows that website issues just tarnish the club, however much of the delay is out of their control, so both fans trying to use it & the club staff trying to get updates in place are equally frustrated by it
Danizen Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 We're not as bad as them. We've never employed a paedo I don't know. Mark Draper had that look about him...

The club knows that website issues just tarnish the club, however much of the delay is out of their control, so both fans trying to use it & the club staff trying to get updates in place are equally frustrated by it I think the poor customer service point is beyond the website; many see it as personnel at the club, not necessarily just the site. Personally, I wish the staff in the club shop would cheer the hell up. I've been served by some with faces like smacked backsides at times.
Guest MattP Posted 24 January 2013 Posted 24 January 2013 We're not as bad as them. We've never employed a paedo Barrie Pierpoint? *legal disclaimer - may or may not refer to the Barrie Pierpoint employed by Leicester City.
davieG Posted 24 January 2013 Author Posted 24 January 2013 I don't know. Mark Draper had that look about him... I'd have thought that the FL/clubs had enough power to to get whoever runs the websites to buck their ideas up. They should at least be able to come to some agreement about updating their own data. Besides how does that excuse them putting an offer on the website that another section of the website is not set up to handle. It's a bloody shambles and as I said the whole fan/admin relationship has been for years. I've lost count of the number of times tickets have gone missing or information is simply wrong,
