foxfanazer Posted 1 February 2013 Author Posted 1 February 2013 Sack off the job search...benefits is the way forward. couldn't imagine anything worse!
Guest Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 excellent. I'll definitely try there. What do people think is the best approach? Phoning or Emailing the employer before going there or just turning up on the off chance? Look clean and smart, knock on the door with a CV and letter to leave for them if they can't see you.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 excellent. I'll definitely try there. What do people think is the best approach? Phoning or Emailing the employer before going there or just turning up on the off chance? Probably go in. You never know they may be in urgent need. I was jobless for about 3 months, got told about a job going, went in to ask about it and started the next day. Look clean and smart, knock on the door with a CV and letter to leave for them if they can't see you. This also! But if you get fobbed off by one of the counter lads at Pochins, although they may be telling the truth, leave your CV with their boss or whatever then go home and ring up
foxfanazer Posted 1 February 2013 Author Posted 1 February 2013 Couldn't you rent a cheap studio in Derby if the job is worth it? Erm I suppose. Not very ideal but..... Look clean and smart, knock on the door with a CV and letter to leave for them if they can't see you. thanks Probably go in. You never know they may be in urgent need. Dr The Singh Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Good luck on your job hunt, unfortunately i'm unable to help you!!
Captain... Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Erm I suppose. Not very ideal but.... Maybe pm the fella, see what the job is then decide if the pay and job is worth moving to Derby for, and whether they would help with relocation, not sure of your situation, but it may be the perfect job with great pay, potential for promotion and gaining lots of experience. Don't dismiss moving before you rule out the job, I've moved loads of times because of work 4 times in the last 18 months.

I do have a situation at the moment that would make it nearly impossible to move away. thanks for the advice though and I do agree with you
foxfanazer Posted 1 February 2013 Author Posted 1 February 2013 Derby is not far away though is it? a little bit too far for me. If I drive it would be no problem at all
