foxfanazer Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 My temporary job has come to an end this week due to a lack of work in the pipeline. If anybody knows of any jobs going I'd really appreciate it, don't worry I'm not basing my whole job search on a FT thread . I have a background of warehouse/office/hospitality and retail work. I have a counterbalance forklift licence. I know there is already a thread for this but that's turned into lamby wumming Thanks
Greg2607 Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 On a serious note, what steps have you taken? have you spoken to local agencies etc?
foxfanazer Posted 1 February 2013 Author Posted 1 February 2013 On a serious note, what steps have you taken? have you spoken to local agencies etc? My last day of work is today so I've not done a lot yet.Updated my CV, asked all my mates which has provided potential leads. Signed up for an agency and joined a local scheme that help you find work. Will get stuck into it more after today though
ToeKneeHandCock Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 I presume Derbyshire is too far out for you? If not, send me a pm.

foxfanazer Posted 1 February 2013 Author Posted 1 February 2013 I'd honestly try any job over being unemployed but ideally something like a warehouse job or maybe office work

MooseBreath Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 Telesales employs pretty much anyone who can speak. You could do that for a while until you find something better.

Phoning or Emailing the employer before going there or just turning up on the off chance?
Guest Posted 1 February 2013 Posted 1 February 2013 it is unfortunately. Thanks anyway. Forgot to add that I don't drive, but I'm willing to travel (within reason) Couldn't you rent a cheap studio in Derby if the job is worth it? Telesales employs pretty much anyone who can speak. You could do that for a while until you find something better. Is that what you're doing at the moment Moosey? Heard that you got suspended from McDonald's for putting your own pork in the burgers.
