Dan Posted 15 March 2013 Posted 15 March 2013 Jesus Christ two weeks running that's happened to one of our players now. Hope he's OK in time.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 15 March 2013 Posted 15 March 2013 @StringerSport Anthony Knockaert will miss the #lcfc game against Derby County tomorrow due to a family bereavement Shame
Finnegan Posted 15 March 2013 Posted 15 March 2013 Best wishes to the kid. He'll be missed but bigger things than football.
dynamark Posted 15 March 2013 Posted 15 March 2013 No idea of the exact circumstances but I know what I would say to my son/relative in this situation .If you want to get out there and do the business!!Dont worry about us However best wishes to him and his family -always enjoy his commitment and skill
indierich06 Posted 15 March 2013 Posted 15 March 2013 No idea of the exact circumstances but I know what I would say to my son/relative in this situation .If you want to get out there and do the business!!Dont worry about us However best wishes to him and his family -always enjoy his commitment and skill It's different for everyone though isn't it? Some players want to get out there and play, some want time to grieve. Billy Sharp played a couple of days after his newborn son died, Jermaine Defoe took a leave of absence after a family member died. Whatever the player wants to do, we should respect that. like others have said - there are more important things than football. I know that if I lost a family member, I certainly wouldn't want to or be expected to go into work.
dynamark Posted 15 March 2013 Posted 15 March 2013 Fair enough may be a little more difficult living and working some distance away from home tbh.
Deucalion Posted 16 March 2013 Posted 16 March 2013 'Everything will be good for you' seems a strange thing to say to someone who is bereaved. I'm not sure it's about that.
