Burbage Fox Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 Ha Ok thats because I am multi tasking on on new office work station and keep pressing the wrong buttons!! Its not that I agree with the roll out the youngsters drivel that some come up with, I can only comment on what I have seen and that is what forms my opinion and that is he is average but played out of position surely we must have someone who is better than average or as said whats the point in having a development squad
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 As an aside, I marked a left winger on Saturday who looked scarily like Harry Kane, even had the increadibly shit hair, this lad pace and a decent left foot though so not much like Harry Kane at all.
Ricey Posted 15 April 2013 Posted 15 April 2013 Ability aside, the last two games he's come on when we are holding onto one goal leads. As he has fresh legs, he should be working his arse off to close the opposition down and help the team close the game out, but instead he just stands around or slowly trots towards players, putting in absolutely no effort whatsoever. That's inexcusable in my opinion and I can't believe Pearson is putting up with it.
Cunningfox Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 Kane is an absolute waste of space. Has he brought anything whatsoever to the team since he arrived? If we must bring on a striker as sub it has to be Waghorn.
NewburyFox Posted 16 April 2013 Posted 16 April 2013 I think Kane is a good player. He's played well for Spurs in the Europa League (granted only one or two short appearances), he had a very good loan at Millwall last season and just because he's been rubbish here doesn't mean he's a bad player. He's either been given 20 minute spells, usually on the wing, or has been started out of position. His best game came when we played 4-4-2 and he was upfront with Wood, and that's no coincidence. However, it seems to me that he just doesn't care. He doesn't work particularly hard, he doesn't get stuck in, and he seems to be playing for himself more than anything. I'd hazard a guess that that's more for the reasons listed above than just who he is, but because of this there's no way I'd be playing him. We may as well just send him back to Spurs as far as I'm concerned and play one of our own lads who will at least look like they give a shit. I'm struggling to understand why we've persisted with Kane on the wing and left Knockaert on the bench, especially in recent games. Here's hoping that Nigel realises this tonight.
